So a whole disc of an instrumental version of "Creep," then?
Does that exist?

LemonMacPhisto said:Hmm, I usually start by getting a list of songs I really like, try and mix and match them into something listenable, trim the time and fat. and there you go, it's done.

I have an odd way of making a playlist. I can feel a place coming alive and sometimes that place is actually person. During this time period of making a playlist, I can feel certain moods or sounds starting to add up to something. I sort of have to figure out who or where this place is and more importantly where it is going. Suddenly, it all makes sense and playlist reveals itself. It is a process of creating a conduit into that place through your own emotions and the emotions of the songs and artists you use.

It's like the Schindler's List of playlists. Sure it's fucking amazing, but I don't have it in me to watch it all the time, you know?
LemonMelon said:
I don't expect to. Actually, I don't even expect your vote THIS time out, unless the person I'm going against has all top 40 hits or Radiohead karaoke tracks.

Remember what I said about Twin Peaks and how what made it great was that you couldn't watch it over and over? That really describes my playlist.
I know I must come off like a moody gothic kid but in actually I'm a shy midwestern teenager whose only black clothing consists of trackjackets and a Roger Waters tour t-shirt.
LemonMacPhisto said:
I believe you.
I have all of Twin Peaks series (including the Pilot) on my computer, ready to watch, by the way.

Actually, I'd prefer Radiohead karaoke tracks to the real deal as it's Yorke's strangled cat vocals that piss me off most about Radiohead.

wow, is your hair really that long now? last time i saw a pic you were sporting a mini-afro.Axver said:I imagine I come off like some pretentious prick with hair halfway down his back who lives in a shack in deepest, darkest New Zealand beside a railway line and spends all day playing guitar and reading obscure literature.
LemonMacPhisto said:Please tell me the "getting down with my bad self" section is in this playlist.

I'm up against BonoIsMyMuse? You're pitting me against my friend?
You're goin' DOWN, M.
(I kid. I know you'll have a really cool one.)
Lila64 said:I wonder what songs you were referring to Khanada
KhanadaRhodes said:
they're both on which songs i don't know yet. i dunno how everyone else does it, but i just sit down and start writing down bands i'd put on a compilation such as this and go from there.
and ooh, a pre-tournament sounds fun!

What do YOU think, my friend?

Oh, and Screwtape, I think you come across as artsy and cultured.
corianderstem said:Oh, dear Lila. I would have directed that at you as well, but you weren't here.
LemonMacPhisto said:
I think I'm voting for you.
