glancing at the plaques on the wall
you reply with silence

"my abilities" i hope
stretching for the truth
you reply with silence

"my future is beautiful" my voice shakes
the confidence gone
you reply with silence

"i look beautiful" i cry
tears welling up from deep within
you smirk

i look at you
look at me
in front of the mirror
smirking
