code rejection...

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
:yikes:

I'm so sorry to everyone that had this happen to them!
Now I'm really worried about using my code next week. To have hung on to it all this time and have it not work when I need it would be really distressing!
Anyone out there know how we might be able to ensure our codes are in proper working order BEFORE the next batch of pre-sales next week?

Any answer?

I can't believe, i've been trying since 1st leg! Why i 'm not able to see U2??? What's the problem?
I need some answer, why not?
Sorry, but i don't know what to do or what to think.

You can test ride your codes through TM now without risking losing (as far as I know)... You may want to do that just to make sure you will be safe next week...

doyou guys know if you can test a code? Meaning...if you havent bought anything with it...can you see what kinda seats you pull up (just not buy). Or even plugging it into the system shows that it has been "used." Just curious...(yes I fully know this is a lame question)

i've tested several times.
code isn't used until purchase is made

(from what I can tell....I haven't actually purchased tickets in either pre sale, so it may tell me my code has been used just from me looking at different tickets, though I hope not)

I did the same , but about your credit card? No orders

i'm not which i now believe may be the problem.
but if thats the case i dont understand why sitting on my homepage on u2.com is the following:

HELLO HELLO
YOU'VE GOT CODE!

Welcome

Your Unique Presale Code to buy tickets for the Fall Leg of 'Vertigo Tour' is

*****

this message initially disappeared a few days ago and popped up a day later.

it cleary says thats my code to buy North American tickets therefore i want to buy tickets.

if the problem is because only North Americans are allowed then i think its highly unfair that those in europe who got screwed in the first presale a) dont get a second chance and b) aren't allowed to buy overseas tickets when americans who ARE getting a second chance could buy ours
fck that

I was curious about that, too, so I just tried looking for tickets for the Chicago show and it worked (and they were really good seats, too - section 122, row 2). And I tried it again one more time to see if the code would still work and it did.

Sorry that doesn't help some of you, but it is possible to "test" your code.

I'm in the UK & I get the same sort of message when I try to use my code...says something about "password not in the TM system".

I would be interested to know whether anyone outside North America managed to get tix thro the presale...I would have thought there would have been more complaints if it was a total non-US shut out.

i really do think thats the problem, and as i mentioned above, if that is the case its utter complete bullshit

There are alot of people on Zootopia having the same problem we're having. I'm in the US, trying to buy tix in the US, and it's not working. Thanks U2!

i'm on zootopia at the moment having alook at whats going on there
apparently if you call TM they tell you to mail u2.com but when i mailed u2.com about it the message it generated after i hit send was something along the lines of "call ticketmaster"
i hate that webpage, i really do

That's what my reply said as well.

Hey Larry, I've got more than 2 words for your criminal, millionaire ass.

A few people on Zootopia were suggesting to test our codes this way. I'm worried that I'll lose my code just because I LOOKED at tickets, or just checked to see if it worked. Does anyone have experience with 'testing' their code, and then successfully using it?

I'm getting scared! :scream:

I finally got through to Fanfire, asked to speak to a supervisor, and they tell me that who I need to talk to is Ticketmaster. I say no, I spoke with a TM manager yesterday who didn't know what the hell was going on, and he told me to call you, which I did, but you didn't take care of the problem yesterday, which is why I'm calling you back now.

Supposedly my problem will be "fixed" by this time tomorrow, just in time for the first presale to do me absolutely no fucking good. What a bunch of bullshit.

By the way, for those of you wondering if you can test your codes, you can. See what you get, but don't click on the "buy" tab. After my experience these past 3 days, I would highly recommend testing them. A warning, though: I called on Monday, before the presale even began, to make sure I was listed as Propaganda and that my code would work. I figured that would give them enough time to make any necessary corrections. But as you can see, I was wrong.

just got through to fanfire after 40minutes o hold to an international number (ouch) and spoke to a lovely woman - she says they're gonna reset my code and i should get an email to that effect in half an hour...
heres hoping

i'm just worried its now too little too late

the lady I finally talked with was great. I got a new code in my email about 20 minutes after I spoke with her. She told me the guy who took my complaint yesterday, and the girl who took it the day before, didn't put it into the log the correct way. Sounds to me like they have a lot of people there who don't know what they're doing, and a few that do, and it comes down to luck as to who you get on the phone.

I too am in the UK, and got GA's for the Saturday MSG show no problem at all. Keep trying to get your code reset as I don't think there are any restrictions on people outside of North America buying them. After all, they can't expect to sell the Dublin tickets to America, and not let us have a crack at the whip for New York?

It even asks you when you select shipping options if you are from Europe/abroad, although I have to get my tickets from MSG the day of the show - bummer!

The lady I spoke with, Chris, said I should get an email in 24 hours. She also said they've been getting ALOT of call from people who never used there U2.com password, and were unable to access the presale.

If I don't get the chance to order presale tickets, the HELL that will be unleased is unimaginable.
