I don't even appear in a swim suit in front of my FAMILY if I can help it, much less have to worry about random a-holes taking my picture, posting it globally, and then opening fire on my looks.
It's "all part of being a celebrity," but it shouldn't be. He's not a swimsuit model. He's a singer. He never once proclaimed he looked great in a swimsuit (which, I think he and the missus do, kudos to them and ESPECIALLY her). If he was making an appearance at a beach/swimming related event then pictures of him in a swimsuit would be par for the course, and whatever criticisms fired should be expected. But the man can't even take a whiz without worrying whether someone in the men's room is going to snap a photo of him doing that. THAT is not "all part of being a celebrity," that is inhumane behaviour.
This tirade is not directed at anyone here, just my
on the whole subject of paparazzi.
And yes, I like new pictures of my faves as much as the next guy, but not when they make me feel dirty and like a thief for having seen them. If I was at the beach and saw Bono on vacation, would I take a picture of him? Maybe. But I would keep the pictures private for just my friends / family to see, not sell them or post them for people to globally gawk at him during what SHOULD be his private time.
Believe it or not, people in the public eye - rock gods or not - are still PEOPLE and want privacy. Some want it less than others, I agree - Bono is a camera whore - but I can guarantee he didn't want a picture of himself with his hand down his pants taken.
Again, not directed at anyone, just me complaining about a problem I despise.
