Those are my two favorites that I have. I like the Popheart EP, too. I was really into collecting singles back in the 90s, but I only have a few from ATYCLB and none from HTDAAB. I usually find them in used music shops, though, and I haven't been to any in awhile.

Even Better Than The Real Thing:

1. EBTTRT
2. Salome
3. Where Did It All Go Wrong
4. Lady With The Spinning Head

This is a difficult one, as U2 have released many great singles (WOWY, One, EBTTRT, Stay [Live Format], Popheart EP). One which hasn't been mentioned yet is this one:

If God Will Send His Angels

1. If God Will Send His Angels (Single Edit)
2. Slow Dancing
3. Two Shots Of Happy, One Shot Of Sad
4. Sunday Bloody Sunday (Live from Sarajevo)

was it Angel of Harlem that had Love Rescue Me (live) and a Room at the Heartbreak Hotel on it?

Having sed that, really liked Streets (Silver and Gold and Sweetest Thing) AND WOWY (lumionus times and walk to the water)

The JT WOWY/Streets/I Still haven't found... singles tied , with IGWSHA single and the Please live EP closely behind.

I'd agree with this one. The versions of Please and SATS are nothing short of transcendent.

quite possibly, The Three Sunrises and Love Comes Tumbling are definitely top of my list of favourite B-sides of the 80's and Bass Trap is just a few below too. I love how they took The Three Sunrises and used it as the opener it should be on any disc regardless of The Unforgettable Fire's status as a lead track.

Very strong single. Works very well as a stand-alone record from that era (could you call it an EP?) I don't think a first time listener would find fault with it if they heard it before The Unforgettable Fire LP.

and no. there is no contest. none at all.

if this single had only contained love is blindness, it would still have been the best ever.

Oh doh! How could I forget that?

And I downloaded Always today. Great song. And they chose it over a song like Grace?

BTW, what the hell do QFT and FTW mean?

And is the version of ASOH on the TUF single the same version as on WAIA?

Queensland's Fucked Turnips and Fuck The What.

No, seriously, Quoted For Truth and For The Win.

Yeah, though there are some editions (i.e. the Aussie and Kiwi ones) with it mixed differently - plus a completely different version of Love Comes Tumbling.

Thanks!

Well I was going to get them off the complete U2 on itunes, are they the Aussie and Kiwi editions? I'd assume so.
