So the next thing that should be interesting is the after game handshakes/congratulations

Have I mentioned that I like the pink touch on the Packers caps? I am not a hat wearer, but I really like that

"their quarterback"??????????????? His name is Aaron Rodgers and he was your 2nd in line for 4 years? SAY his name

Classy.

Jared Allen had an amazing game. I think he definitely deserves player of the week. Not sure what happened to Adrian Peterson the past 2 weeks. I don't think he got 100 yards again.

I feel bad for the grounds crew at the Dome :crack: Busy few days. Yesterday was the last home game for the Twins ever so they had a huge celebration after the game by bringing back all of the old players from both World Series and other random stuff. That went until probably 5:00....then the Vikings tonight....and now tomorrow the Twins have a tie-breaker game at the Dome so it's back to the baseball field. Last time they'll have to do the football/baseball change over unless the Twins win tomorrow.

My big problem is still w/ Favre. I saw him w/ new eyes for the past 2 years.........

The Packers and Vikings will always be the BEST rivalry in my book and they are always good games.

Local tv is just saying what I mentioned earlier, the fact that Ted T hasn't gone out and gotten the protection that Aaron needs to be the great QB he really is.

Aaron has the exact same shocked look of defeat on his face after each sack that Brett used to have when John Randle used to beat the crap out of him about 10 years ago. I miss John.

Agreed about Jared Allen

I get what you're saying but you can't fault the guy for still wanting to play the game with the passion he has. I'm still not 100% with the decision for him to become a Viking but as of right now he's gotten my team off to a 4-0 start, with the help of a lot of other Viking players. But I would have been just fine with him retiring and never putting on purple. It's still so weird. It's like he married his best friend's wife or something. It's creepy. But he's my QB so I say :applaud: #4

and yes this is the BEST rivalry. This is the 2nd best game of the season. I still say going into GB and playing outside in the cold is the #1 game for us. I was so bummed last year when the season opener was against GB in Lambeau. It felt weird in Nov/Dec to not have that game.

I remember that look. Yep Aaron has got it down.

For whatever reason I was thinking a lot about Reggie White today. Don't know why.

No I can't fault him for wanting to play the game. I still don't get why he announced his retirement in the first place. Hurt feelings? What his heart told him to do? What TT or MM said he should do? Because he couldn't get his way? All reasons have been speculated.

well that was actually a really productive hour. :yikes: I FINALLY emptied out the last box and the 2 laundry baskets of crap from my move that was already 3 months ago :der: I found 2 things I've been on a mad mission to find.....and one wasn't even something that ever made it's way to Arizona. :reject: I just have 1 thing left to find now. I also emptied out my resort work bag. Um.....gross. I used to take home an apple each night on my way out through the fruit/veggie kitchen and I guess I never ate my last apple. It was an icky find.

Now off to venture out into the cold rain. I have a few returns to do. I also have to go shoe shopping. I bought a pair of funky Puma's the other day at TJ Maxx and now I think it might have been too much of an impulse buy so I need to look at other options. I hate shopping for things I need. My black converse, that I have walked a million miles in all over the desert, midwest, and Europe have seen better days. One more U2 trip for them and then they're retired for good.

one more thing and then I'm off.....I love that just about the entire newspaper is all about sports today. Vikings yesterday, Twins this afternoon, the Wild's home opener tonight. There's a nice positive vibe in the air around town. Everyone is excited about the Vikings and Twins and I'm sure once the Wild get into things hockey will be talked about a lot too. It's nice that there's something to talk about other than the economy, the weather, and swine flu. Tomorrow will probably be a different story if the Twins lose today but for now everyone seems to be lifted up a bit.

I love it when it is like that here. Distraction. Fun distraction.
Enjoy your day off.

I don't start until 2:30 so I am trying to get a couple things done. One of them was change passwords. Apparently there was a phishing attack on Gmail, Yahoo, aol.......Oh joy.
I am off tomorrow and my day is already planned for me. I hope I feel like doing the stuff.
Head is still on another planet, would like that feeling to go away.
