30 sec clips VS low quality recordings of entire songs

I've been thinking lately....

It's soooo much better to listen to poor recordings of entire songs, than what was the high quality 30 sec clips of ATYCLB.

Thing is, the songs are great - you get a sense for the whole song. And when you eventually hear it in all glory, it's going to be even better.

With the 30 sec clips, you tried to put together other parts of the song with your imagination and had expectations built up from that.

May they never, never release the 30 sec clips for this record before it comes out.

i agree....i had a very luke warm feeling of some of the 30 second clips. maybe it was the section of the song or something...but my idea of how the songs were gonna sound were very different than what they turned out to be.

agreed, its much better, that way we can make judgement on the whole song basically, vs. a 30-second clip, any song can sounds alright if you take its best 30 seconds. Especially with this album, all 5 songs have been great, so its just gonna get better in CD quality.
