All Southern Hemisphere tour information/rumours here please

If the rumours are for March in Aus (I apologise for any ignorance I reveal here, I´ve been off interference for months), then shouldn´t tickets be going on sale soon? I seem to recall that for the Vertigo tour, which was original scheduled for March, tickets went on sale in Nov-Dec.

All Southern Hemisphere tour information/rumours here please

I agree 100%. History is how we got here, why we got here and where we´re going next. Its the most important of the lot, IMO. And I agree with you about maths - but thats probably just because im shit at it, and need some sort of defense as to the benefits of excelling at it!

Barcelona 2 - All thoughts and discussion here

I think I would have actually passed out if I was there to hear them play ES, just out the blue like that. It needs a bit of polish, but by the time they get to Sydney () I'm sure it'll be sounding fantastic.

July 2, 2009 - Camp Nou Barcelona - SPAIN II

 I was so sure that it was a pipe dream to ever hear that live! Does anyone have it up on youtube yet!

Official "Bitch about the stupid mask" thread

I genuinely thought this was a joke, Kunstmuseum style, until about 3 pages in. This is like something from the Chaser.

MERGED - > Opening night issues/ Bono's Outburst - What do you make of this?

I'd say its more like U2 is the shit and Interference is the fan

    Winter (Song) (DISCUSSION ONLY)

I've just heard this song for the first time. I can't understand why they didn't put it in the place of White as Snow. Its serves the same purpose, but is 100% times better. Its has far more inspired lyrics and its uplifting. This song has Eno written all over it. They should put more trust in...

    CONGRATULATIONS! You are smart!

Best Song Survivor: Late 1980s Quarter Final Round II

The Three Sunrises. You philistines haven't given me a choice. Its one of the better songs here, but I had to save Luminous Times.

    Some thoughts...

U2 have been firmly in the number 1 spot for me for the last 5 years. In the last 2 years however, Radiohead have been steadily creeping up. I am constantly blown away by the way they understand and master sonic landscapes. I can listen to a song of theirs that I have heard 100 times, and...

Best Song Survivor: Late 1980s Quarter Final I

I was going to hold my vote to save if I needed to, but in order to save Love Comes Tumbling, I would have to vote Luminous Times or The Three Sunrises ... :| I can't believe that there are 16 votes for Luminous Times already. It's the best song on the list. With the possible exception of Bad...

Your Top 20 Albums of all time, Where would U2 come?

Joshua Tree, the Unforgettable Fire, War and Achtung would be right up the top somewhere amongst OK Computer, In Rainbows, Astral Weeks, Oh Mercy, Highway 61 Revisted, The Doors and the Travelling Wilburys.

Boots Subscribers of the World Unite!

Well I'm in Aus, so you're all my guinea pigs. If the presale works out this time, and proves that its worth its $50, then I'll sign up, otherwise I'll take my chances with a free Frontier pre-sale, or with the general sale.

Best Song Survivor: 1984-89 Miscellaneous Super-round

Luminous Times is quite possible my favourite ever U2 song, and Spanish Eyes, Hallelujah Here She Comes and The Three Sunrises are in my top ten.

Best Song Survivor: Rattle And Hum Round V

I voted Heartland. I want my muffin! Although I'm wishing I'd held onto my vote and given in to God Pt II, purely to try to save Hawkmoon.

Best Song Survivor: Rattle And Hum Round IV

I was gonna vote Angel, just because every other song is so fantastic, but then I remembered that for whatever reason, when Angel started playing on Vertigo, I went crazy. I think out of every song they played, I almost enjoed that the most live. I just couldn't bring myself to vote for it.

Where are all the U2 fans?

A majority of my friends really like U2. They're kind of "greatest hits" fans, and I could get all of them to line up for the GA at a concert. And there is one family in my street who are entirely U2 crazy, like the whole family went into mourning when U2 cancelled the Australian leg of the...

    white as snow sucks.

I am already skipping over White as Snow. I find it boring and uninteresting. And I am a huge fan of One Step Closer, Running to Stand Still, the First Time, 40, Grace. I think U2 makes beautiful songs when they slow down the tempo and create gems like those that I've just listed. So you can't...

Best Song Survivor: The Joshua Tree Round IV

I was afraid you would say that. I was going to vote Red Hill. Is this where you get powerdrunk and change my vote to save Red Hill? ... but seriously ...

    Australian tour dates??

Wow! You're leading everyone on this forum by at least 30 000 posts! That's pretty darn impressive. What do you get when you hit 100 000? There should be some sort of medal!

    Australian tour dates??

I already am. Its just a mad mid-year trip to the wrong continent! I'll be in South America for what looks like pretty much the whole time U2 is in Europe. And then I'll be in Europe when they're in US. :| I really shouldn't complain as I've been saving and planning for this trip for about 2...

The Atheist Bus, It's Raising Quite a Fuss

I read about this in an Australian newspaper a couple of months ago. I think its a fantastic campaign. My personal veiws on religion aside, I think its a great challenge to the notion of freedom of speech, and to the grip that Christianity has on Western Civilization as a primary and central...
