Yeah, I saw the new Home Page, liking the new format. I went to the show in October and my wife and I are going back in February, and the show was spectacular, but the sound of the band was really incredible. This new mix makes it more exciting to hear the nuances, live, that have been brought...
Just finished listening to the new Dolby Atmos Mix of Achtung Baby, and it is definitely a new perspective on an already amazing album. The changes are in your face and subtle and intimate at the same time in some songs. I'm hearing things I never heard before, and because it's a REMIX of the...
Get it, and I'm not on here enough anymore, so my apologies.
I'm hoping they take inspiration of the shows, and the catchy hooks in AC and build an album around that...kinda Zooropa 2.Rock...
Oops, sorry, I saw the last part of this thread! I won't mentioned they play most of October and Pop... :giggle:
My point is, they are truly inspired and they sounded tight as hell...no more spoilers!
Just back from Vegas, went to Saturday's show, and I have to say it was the best U2 show I've seen since the 360 Tour. The Sphere is incredible and the band sounded great, even though Bono seemed to be a bit under the weather. The highlight for me was Acrobat, it couldn't have kicked anymore...
I was a part of that group too...it was kind of a sad day when they shut that down.
Thankfully, no one ever called my church...or trolled me like Jick or Bick or whatever his name was.
Beato's YouTube Channel is great. He breaks down so many great classic, and even newer Pop/Rock songs. He sees the genius (and maybe luck) of U2 and praises them every chance he gets. This is a great video revering the underrated Drowning Man.
I was a diehard CD collector for years...today I have so many streaming services it's kind of a moot point. However, I do like the booklets and pics and other goodies, so that's something. Been listening to a lot of U2X radio so excited to get this show!
I won Achtung Baby from my local Rock Station, and it went on constant play on my CD player. I taped it on cassette so I could listen on my train ride into work. i didn't know what to think of it, so different, so radical. Lyrics so deeply personal and passion directed at the flesh instead of...
Agree with Laz on this..while I love ATYCLB, I understand some fans feeling let down (somewhat) when Beautiful Day came out. However, even though it is a bit of a 'pop' album, it still holds up today. Also one of their best tours too... :D
