Are we NOT discussing the Dolby Atmos Mix of Achtung Baby?

Yeah, I saw the new Home Page, liking the new format. I went to the show in October and my wife and I are going back in February, and the show was spectacular, but the sound of the band was really incredible. This new mix makes it more exciting to hear the nuances, live, that have been brought...

Are we NOT discussing the Dolby Atmos Mix of Achtung Baby?

Just finished listening to the new Dolby Atmos Mix of Achtung Baby, and it is definitely a new perspective on an already amazing album. The changes are in your face and subtle and intimate at the same time in some songs. I'm hearing things I never heard before, and because it's a REMIX of the...

New Album Discussion 1 - Songs of..... - Unreasonable guitar album

Get it, and I'm not on here enough anymore, so my apologies. I'm hoping they take inspiration of the shows, and the catchy hooks in AC and build an album around that...kinda Zooropa 2.Rock...

New Album Discussion 1 - Songs of..... - Unreasonable guitar album

Oops, sorry, I saw the last part of this thread! I won't mentioned they play most of October and Pop... :giggle: My point is, they are truly inspired and they sounded tight as hell...no more spoilers!

New Album Discussion 1 - Songs of..... - Unreasonable guitar album

Just back from Vegas, went to Saturday's show, and I have to say it was the best U2 show I've seen since the 360 Tour. The Sphere is incredible and the band sounded great, even though Bono seemed to be a bit under the weather. The highlight for me was Acrobat, it couldn't have kicked anymore...

Anyone here from the old U2-Wire Yahoo Group?

I was a part of that group too...it was kind of a sad day when they shut that down. Thankfully, no one ever called my church...or trolled me like Jick or Bick or whatever his name was.

U2 songs reviewed - Rick Beato on YouTube

Beato's YouTube Channel is great. He breaks down so many great classic, and even newer Pop/Rock songs. He sees the genius (and maybe luck) of U2 and praises them every chance he gets. This is a great video revering the underrated Drowning Man.

    New subscribers gift for 2021

I was a diehard CD collector for years...today I have so many streaming services it's kind of a moot point. However, I do like the booklets and pics and other goodies, so that's something. Been listening to a lot of U2X radio so excited to get this show!

Achtung Baby Released Nov 18/19, 1991

I won Achtung Baby from my local Rock Station, and it went on constant play on my CD player. I taped it on cassette so I could listen on my train ride into work. i didn't know what to think of it, so different, so radical. Lyrics so deeply personal and passion directed at the flesh instead of...

Next Album Rumours Thread II - Songs of Ass Scent

Agree with Laz on this..while I love ATYCLB, I understand some fans feeling let down (somewhat) when Beautiful Day came out. However, even though it is a bit of a 'pop' album, it still holds up today. Also one of their best tours too... :D

    ATYCLB 20th Anniversary Box Set

I'm with Dan on this. I'll add it to my collection and shed a tear since this is still an album I play all the way through...

    New U2 single: Ahimsa

The more I listen to this song (and I have a lot) the more I like it. Yes, it's standard 'late period' U2, but it's a perfect example of the music they're making right now. The chorus is really growing on me, simple, but beautiful.

    An Older Subscription Gift

I was at the Rose Bowl show, and it was great, but the show I saw nearly 2 years later was AMAZING. I think they missed the boat on that DVD/Blu-ray release. Those later (Achtung Baby celebration) shows were awesome!

LP15 - We're due for a break from the norm

I think they need to lay low...let the music scene come back to them. Meaning...absence makes the heart grow fonder...(hmm)

Achtung Baby BOXSET reissue - Number 6 - THIS THREAD IS ÜBER DELUXE

Are they still replacing the DVD? American buyers got a DVD in some box sets that was set for a region/format that doesn't play on American DVD/Blu-ray players? Anyone know who to contact if you have one of those non-readable DVD's?
