With little things I am still excited to hear the studio cut because I am hopeful that the production will add to the song and take it to another level. That and having crisper Bono vocals.

Loyal hold out here....Picking up my physical copy of deluxe version at walmart right now (11am on thurs 11/30). Negotiated with electronics staff to go in the back and dig it out for me. Had to do real time preorder through Wal-Mart before they'd let me take it. They said they'd be fined if they just sold it to me.??? excited!

Little Things studio version is so much better than the live takes. Lot of great subtle effects in the production. It’s beautifully done.
But then again I don’t like spare, piano based songs with U2. Studio of Every Breaking Wave kills the version they kept doing in concert.

Lucky! I know at Target, they won't allow the machines to scan new releases at checkout even if it's put out a day or two early.

That's the thing! Mine didn't have to be scanned at checkout. Purchase was made online and they werw able to verify the purchase and they were just listed as pickup location. [emoji15] [emoji15] [emoji15]

I saw the post about Walmart having it available to pickup, so I swung by my Walmart and sure enough, it was in the racks for sale; it wasn't on the end cap of new releases, just mixed in with all of the other CDs.
Checked out and now enjoying it!
Thanks to whomever mentioned their Walmart pickup being ready today!

That was me...you're welcome! Mine was NOT on the rack.[emoji12] had to beg for them to "go in the back" and search amongst recent shipments. Then, when employee had it in hand she called out to me across the walmart..."hey, sir! Mr U2! I've got it!"

I guess it's a Walmart thing. I mentioned earlier that I ordered it for pickup. No idea if it's on the shelves yet (still at work right now and it's killing me), but they texted me a few hours ago saying it's ready.

Less than 9 hours for us holdouts.....I'm both nervous and excited! Mostly nervous that it won't be as good as the fan reviews on the 10 studio tracks I haven't heard yet. But I think I'll be pleased since I like SOI a lot and most have said this is as good or better.

This went live on spotify after midnight here in the UK, two hours later I'm still going through it. I'll write a full post regarding my thoughts on this album but CHRIST, that pairing of Summer of Love and Red Flag Day might just be the best two successive punches U2 have given since Lemon and Stay. Knocked me to the ground and I can't get back up after it!

So with 3 hours to go, I'll set my expectations.
This will be the 7th U2 album that I will listen to on the first day of release (all albums prior to Zooropa were years after they came out).
I really want to LOVE every U2 album on my first listen but that is not always been the case.
I'm not knocking any albums here, I'm only sharing my first listen impression thoughts(yes, I remember them all) and this was my FIRST impression (most of the below changed slightly over time but not by too much):
Zooropa: Very disappointed
Loved 0, liked 2 disliked 4
Pop: Disappointed
Loved 1, liked 3, disliked 4
ATYCLB: Very Happy
Loved 2, liked 2, disliked 2
Bomb: Very Happy
Loved 3, Liked 2, disliked 2
NLOTH: Mixed
Loved 2, Liked 2, disliked 3
SOI: Happy
Loved 1, Liked 5, disliked 0
SOE: I would be very happy if there are 2 songs that I love and 4 other songs that I at least like and no more than 2 that I dislike (there are 13 songs...bound to not like 1)

I just looked at Amazon and mine hasn’t shipped yet. Estimated delivery is December 8!
I’m going to end up with three copies of this thing, because I’m not waiting for it to come in the mail, I’m going to Target tomorrow and buying it right away. Amazon has really let me down, and I can’t even cancel it because I ordered something else with it to get free shipping. This preorder business isn’t a good thing at all if you want it on release day. That’s the first and last time I ever do that! 
And, no, I haven’t listened to the leak. Still holding on!

Amazon music unlimited is 0.99 cents for 3 months, I guess not a bad option if you want to listen to U2 on computer before your free CD from ticketmaster shows up. You can cancel I assume right away like most of these feee trial things or you'll get stuck paying like 8 bucks a month for a service you don't use. But I don't know the details. Just an idea.
