i think that bullet has a lot of potential, it's nice to see bono and the band stick their neck on the line, even if trump is low hanging fruit.

i understand that this show wasn't typical, and as such playing the blandest of warhorses was always going to be the case. why they've played these two events i have no idea, but i imagine there was some reason that went into it.

donald trump will hopefully fuck off in a month or so. hopefully he'll take his flat-earth believing, knuckle-dragging neanderthals into the cave that he belongs in.

Just watched the Bullet video. I love the blistering versions of the song from this tour, but I don't think the "conversation" with Trump worked that well. I think it would have been more powerful just with Bono ranting. I liked what they did with Trump in Desire better.

If U2 was relevant, headlines would read "Tax dodging billionaire Bono attacks Trump for being wealthy."
Didn't hear much of the performance, but please tell me he didn't go after Trump on taxes, right? That would be hysterical.

Because U2 also haven't payed any tax for almost 20 years and then bragged about it while running for US presidency ?

Good to see them this invested in politics with Desire and now Bullet.

Nah. He stuck to blatant racism and xenophobia.

Which if you support Trump, you also support.

There's always a choice.

LOL, that's pretty funny. It's a pity the teleprompter didn't say "dramatic pause."

Can anyone actually see the teleprompter? This seems like she's trying to sound hip and internety-speak. Like pronouncing lol as "low-l" rather than "el o el."

*sigh*

I completely understand why they went back to their most recent practical outdoor setup. What I don't understand is why they didn't either:

1) just build something generic from scratch considering it is a one off, or

2) paint it so it at least looked like it belonged with their current branding. Just make the red bits yellow.

Sent from my iPhone using U2 Interference

1) Building a new stage for a one off show is pointless by definion

2) who cares about the colours ?

Nah. I'm criticising Bono because I think he's reached the point of hypocrisy. When you constantly take the moral high ground and love to tell people what to do like Bono has, you better be consistent. Here's a guy who has no issues making deals with a President who invaded Iraq for financial gain, but now feels like he can target another guy just because he's an easy target. The whole tax issue hasn't helped Bono's cause either. Time for him to just focus on the music.

And if you support Hillary, you also support the creation and arming of ISIS, the arming of Syria through Libya, and the killing of Americans abroad to include Benghazi. Not to mention you support sending Top Secret Intel to anyone who can hack into a non-secure email account used by someone who believed she was above the law.

And if you support Hillary, you also support pretending to support women and gay rights while raking in billions from countries who mistreat/torture/kill women and gays.

Should i go on....or do you realize now the broad brush thing you just did is kinda foolish?

You are the problem with modern America. Everything is dealt in absolutes and extremism. There's no middle ground. You vote for someone, you 100% embody them? Oh, wait that's only if you disagree with them....

Nah.

There's a big difference between somebody's actions vs somebody's ideology.

Is it really even his ideology? I tend to imagine it's more of their (the supporters') ideology. He's just preaching it.

I haven't heard many good arguments as to why it's okay to vote for him. i.e. things that make it excusable. There was always a rationale behind prior republican candidates (for example, differing views on economics, be they right or wrong). But Trump's campaign doesn't have any sound sort of rationale. It's just BS cloaked in more BS.

Don't you think someone who criticizes Clinton does the exact same thing?

Economic policy, tax cuts, stronger foreign policy, pro life, build the wall, ending our horrible trade agreements (NAFTA,etc), Supreme Court justices, etc are all issues I agree with Trump on.
Can't find a single significant issue that I agree with Hillary on.

There's plenty of middle ground. You guys just chose, as a party, to go with the extreme. And some left, and some got in line.

But yes, I'm the problem. Someone who's voted Republican more than Democrat in his life and considers himself a fiscal conservatives with socially liberal views... and would readily vote for a socially moderate Republican or independent but, hey, Republicans decided to put up a blatantly racist, incompetent con-man so there went that.

Yea. It's me.

I am a registered Independent who voted for Bernie in our states primary, but i have to ask, which Republican would you have voted for?

4 years ago Romney was somewhat socially moderate and fiscally conservative, did you pull the lever for him or did you pull the lever for Obama?
