You do realize that Eric Clapton was showered in Grammys that year because his son had died tragically and the industry had no clue how to react, right? Hell, even Clapton himself was embarrassed to have beated AB for AoTY. It's in the Flanagan book, you know. U2 At The End of The World. If you've never read it, you are seriously missing out. It's practically the U2 bible (and I believe used to be referred to as the Orange Bible back in the day amongst the fans).
When I first read his comment, I just assumed it was sarcasm lol. I guess not  Just figured everyone kinda knew that Clapton won the Grammy because of his son's death (does that sound callous? rereading it, it sounds a little callous )

Anyway, I was just listening to Cedarwood again--man, I love that ending
Blossoms falling from the tree, they cover you and cover me...

Really looking forward to hearing that one live, yo

It may only be acoustic, but there's no doubt in my mind that we'll get ASOH and/or Acrobat by the time this tour is over.
They're not getting younger, there aren't that many tours left (especially at this rate), and the innocence/experience thing suggests more varied setlists, and therefore more rarities, especially those loved by the band (speaking more to ASOH than to Acrobat with that part).

Cedarwood Road has some SERIOUS potential live. I think the SoI haters are going to change their minds once these songs hit the stage. I'm already eager to see California live and it wasnt a favorite of mine at first.

The only thing that would genuinely upset me would be if they never played Every Breaking Wave with the full band. Been dying to hear what that would sound like with a full arrangement since they first played it in Helsinki back in '09.

Not that the acoustic version isn't epic, but it'd be a shame if we never got to hear what the album version sounds like live...

Yeah thanks heaps for the reports man.

Has anyone thought that maybe they are just simply REHEARSING songs that need to be run through and the clear fan favorites are the ones they really don't need to practice that much simply because they know them and can pull them out at the drop of a dime?

No, because that's contrary to the band's entire history. Remember when they tried to bust out A Sort of Homecoming on Elevation? Yeah that didn't go too well. They always rehearse songs to the nth degree. So if you're thinking the big fan favourites that everybody's been clamouring for are lurking in the shadows just waiting to be busted out in a show without any rehearsal on the stage with lighting cues, etc., you're going to be sorely disappointed.

Thanks! Maybe not much hope but those security guards were nice and told me to come back before the show.. So I'm holding a glimmer of hope lol. Still sounds pretty good from outside and certainly get a good idea of the actual tour set list.

They are unfortunately not good enough individual musicians to simply bust out a song without rehearsing it extensively first.

I don't think it's impossible that they're saving a few songs to rehearse at the real arena in Vancouver (whatever it's called) where security will be a little tighter and it'll be harder for fans to hear outside...

While I think that above scenario is possible, it's more probable that what we know is what they'll do

I wonder if the opener will alternate between nights 1 and 2? They were doing that at the beginning of Vertigo with COBL and Love and Peace which I thought really worked if you were going back to back nights. Seemed like totally different shows even though the entire setlist didn't vary that much.

That's when People Get Ready comes out.

When I was at Pittsburgh Elevation, Edge mistakenly started Angel of Harlem and they just went with it. Got an extra song out of it. Granted they had played it at previous shows.

Rogers Arena. And yes, despite this possibly being the most reported on pre-tour rehearsals that I can remember, I think there will be a couple of tracks we haven't heard yet.
