If these are the actual rehearsals, then they have their most radical change up yet planned by not actually being at the concerts.

It sounds like a mix of studio and previously recorded live tracks, maybe with a few tracks being played by crew members.
Not to mention nobody has seen them enter or exit the arena yet, and god knows people are watching.
And we have full songs, but nobody's heard Bono talking on mic between takes? Or stopping the takes mid song? Or letting the band play while he directs? It's not like we haven't heard recordings their rehearsals before. This doesn't sound like that.

I imagine while the crew are getting to grips with the new stage setup, either the sound guys are just playing an old concert through the desk as they always do to get an idea of the acoustics, or the band are there and just going through the motions, which I think is pretty unlikely.

Come on guys, you people are smarter than this. First of all of course we're gonna hear Vertigo and BD, just accept and move on. Secondly, they know people are listening they're not going to test sound and staging with a rarity.

U2's crew may be. The band most certainly is not. At least not at that arena.

Open air stadiums are a little different. Think about this, we never heard Drowning Man in concert, but we heard it rehearsed. Did we hear Zooropa rehearsed? I honestly can't remember. Did we hear UF or UL?

Zooropa was rehearsed the night before the first São Paulo show, and there were a few videos documenting it. That was incredible to see.
