I maintain Grace is an under-appreciated album closer of their. I love it. It's lovely. And it's cheesy, but Bono's writing in terms of cadence, word play and sincerity in that song really work for me. Unlike say, Peace on Earth, which is the one song on that album I don't care for. Quite like his half-whispered vocals there as well, especially giving the song's brief crescendo more swagger.

Basically, fuck yall

Is Acrobat the song they'd need to go live in a tree to learn how to play live?

I wonder if I'll ever hear:

One Tree Hill
Acrobat
Heartland
A Sort of Homecoming

Those are part of my top 10, the least likely of the top 10 to ever get played while I am at a show. OTH is the best bet I guess, since they did break it out a few times last tour.

I still remember getting out of the car and the first thing I hear is them soundchecking Magnificent. And I just thought, "...fuck."

I just saw that, I was really hoping it was an elaborate prank until looking at the guy's account, he has a lot of supporters and no one calling him on all this insanity.

:crack:

I guess you don't want to be saved.

The final U2 album will be recorded from the depths of the inferno, and The Edge truly will be on fire.

Repent or burn for eternity.

I don't think ATYCLB suffers from a lack of cohesion per se, though I do prefer the original track order. The songs explore different pop avenues but at least they mostly sound from the same sessions, producers, etc.

M$H really has nothing in common with that material and would be so much more out of place than anything else.

In that case, why not throw in material from Rare & Unreleased while you're at it too? Because some of that fits in a lot better with ATYCLB.

I much prefer the original track order as well.

I prefer Flower Child and Love You Like Mad to a number of ATYCLB tracks. They aren't classics, but they feel light, fun and not as belabored as so many U2 tracks from the 00s.

Flower Child is far better live though, as the fantastic Kunstmuseum version has showed us.

I have this on pretty good authority, and the stars are aligning for Shuttlecock to be making a SXSW appearance. This changes the complexion of the promo machine so I figured y'all would be interested. Nothing confirmed at this point but it's in the works.

Fuck. I have a standing offer to stay with a good friend who has some solid local hook-ups, but I wasn't going to go due to money issues.

This might change things.

Also, kind of weird for them to be at SXSW several months before the album is supposedly getting released.

This would fit much more in line with an April release. JUST SAYING.

We're not being serious are we? I'm actually going for the film fest, but not planning on the music section this year.

Dead serious. I'll definitely let everyone know if (and why) it falls through.

Also, let's not drop this knowledge in The Other Place, please. Don't want it becoming a thing.
