Went to see the Amnesty film last night. It was amazing. It first opened with a documentary about how the concerts came to be followed by excerpts from the shows. And I must say it was great to see U2 (and Sting and Bruce and Peter Gabriel and Bryan Adams) up on the big screen. The evening concluded with a short film doc from Peter Gabriel. The showing was very well attended. The producer of the film was there as well as a few people involved with the organization. It was really a great night. I wish more of the films from the other stops on the Conspiracy for Hope tour could have been represented. It seems as though the video is lost. At least the Giants stadium show was found.

I remember my sister recording the show for me all those years ago. I wonder if it's still in my collection somewhere...

Nightmare before christmas  and especcially Jack. .
Okay that was cool indeed.

I actually find the way that U2 often ignores masculine norms to be incredibly sexy. That goes for everything from the guyliner and jewelry to their affection for each other and frequent touching, to the nonhierachical model at Principle and the high number female staff there, including high ranking ones, to the activism around traditionally feminine concerns like Amnesty, poverty and AIDS. That shit it hot. U2 displays a much more well rounded than usual model of masculinity which I adore.

 Then again, Bono and Edge......

Lool, i'm doing a LOTR marathon be uase i went to see the Hobbit yesterday. Now watching the return of the king.
One of my favourite funny scenes is where everybody is drinking after the victory @ Helmsdeep. And Legolas has his first meeting with ale and feeling drunk.

Can not believe i will be in Middle earth next year :geek:

Just wander, into tumblr,
and if thou shall wander long enough,
thou shall find your answers.

Like i said : Tumblr is happiness by track-word.

Its like google but solely visited by people who either are genius , lurker or idiotic.

Really one of my favorite places on the internet :D Really you should check it out. Anything you seek will be pretty much on there :p

I adore tvtropes. Internet culture and criticism are fascinating anyway, and that site is just like falling into a rabbit hole. A quick look in can very quickly turn into all day.

In U2 @ the End of the World it's a running theme, the nonhierarchical arrangements and woman heavy staffing. Most of their most important staff other than the band, Paul and tour designers Willie Williams and Mark Fisher are all women. Almost all the people in the Principle offices are (were) women.

Haha. You german twit! Maybe he was thinking you live in the Aquarium of Zoologischer Garten Berlin. (Shoo fishtank)
