Just caught a dude called David Bridie at Northcote Social Club. Venue was not what expected, very worn in... sound/sightlines really good.
Felt a bit like I stumbled upon a niche singer/songwriter who invited all his friends over to listen to live music, was definitely the youngest there, but a good show. His new album Wake is really good, and in light of Rudd very relevant at the moment - a lot of astute lyricism about the less fortunate from lands other than ours. Posted a clip to his song Delegate a while back, but I'll put it up again. A great tune.
Yeah, my brother went and said it was a good turnout, considering the spontaniety. Sounds like people were joining as they were marching too, which in my experience is rare. If there's another, I'll definitely go.
