Pretty awesome looking. I bought the mp3s from Amazon yesterday. Remembered I still had a credit there, so I got it for $4. Really enjoying the music, may have to go see the movie because of it.

Reminder that the soundtrack will be on sale here on Friday at a random time. Typically they drop their stuff around 11AM Central, but LPs don't usually sell out instantly. I'll post in here once they drop.

I was actually looking at the Mondo site earlier today; wasted about an hour at work looking at the movie posters. I guess they do a special poster for everything they show at Alamo Drafthouse? I want like, all of them on my wall, now.

Apparently you have to be on your game to buy stuff off their site because it sells out quickly. They did the Poltergeist OST vinyl that I was denied on RSD.

You haven't heard Saturdays=Youth?

In things that are actually news: I plan on seeing Oblivion soon, Mofo. I wanted to go to the drive-in and see it last weekend, but I was too busy in Chicago.

EDIT: It's still at the drive-in this weekend with G.I. Joe: Retaliation

Yes and no. There are always posters for a new Drafthouse Films release and occasionally there are some of unique screenings at the Alamo. I got my Return of the King by Aaron Horkey at an event called Mondo Mystery Movie where you don't know what movie will be played when you buy a ticket, and your ticket includes the cost of the poster. Wound up not keeping it because A. I don't really care for LOTR and B. Horkey's dimensions always are weird and would make framing super expensive.

Most of the stuff you see in the archive has dropped online at one point or another. There are exceptions like the stunning Taxi Driver by Martin Ansin.

You do, and the best way to do that is to get a Twitter app and enable a push notification any time @mondonews tweets something. Or you can F5 all morning. Mondo drops are harrowing and stressful, but it's a triumphant feeling when you nab one. I love mine.

Over the past year or so, this has become a big hobby for me.

Copies on sale tomorrow through Mondo will be on clear vinyl, copies distributed to record stores next month on black.

Getting butt-hurt over a Pitchfork review? Seriously?

Any clue what time this might go on sale, Imps, or is it just anytime today?

Random time, usually some time in the 10 to noon CST range. If you use Twitter, just follow @mondonews and turn on notifications for its tweets. That it check here every so often since I plan on posting when they're up.

LPs don't go as fast as posters. Even the (exquisitely done) Drive OST took about half an hour a few weeks ago. But considering everyone who orders from the site gets the variant this time as opposed to having it randomly inserted, who knows.

Good luck. Mondo drops are stressful as fuck most of the time, but they are a lot of fun. Great hobby to get into.

I didn't even know about the site until this, so I look forward to a future with it.

I'm at work and T-Mobile gets no reception in this building, so I'll try.

Check out the archive to kill some time waiting for the drop. You'll be glad you did.

The gallery is a five block walk for me, so I just pick my stuff up and get refunded for shipping. Nice perk.

Just picked up my LP from Mondo Gallery. It looks and sounds exquisite and is making for quite the lunchtime spin.
