I was wondering about their inclusion on here, too. Many of these bands definitely qualify, but these guys and the Black Keys being on here is...strange.

Queens resident Rebecca Fox, 27, said she saw people running down the street and initially thought it was a celebrity sighting, but then saw a woman shot in the foot and a man dead on the ground.

LA Weekly wanted some web traffic didn't they? Can they really be hipster bands if everyone has heard of them?

Oh and I didn't really get Bon Iver until I saw the Coachella set. Loved it and didn't even want to nap.

I love his records, but I have to say my respect jumped to a whole new place when I watched his Coachella set during the webcast.

When I clicked the link it opened on Bon Iver and I couldn't read on because it was making me angry. Their live show is fucking phenomenal (top five all time for me) and anyone who's seen Blood Bank knows that rocks harder than many bands.

Are they within bazooka range?

Do you guys remember when Bruce released the deluxe versions of Born to Run and Darkness, but he also made the Hammersmith concert and Promise collection available as stand-alone pieces rather than only as part of the box sets? That was a really classy move from him. I say this because I was just looking at that monstrous AB reissue and wondering why U2/whoever the hell handles U2's merchandizing did not not make the Kindergarten versions or the From the Sky Down doco (for Cobbler) available in the same way.

Thanks all.

The worst part about it was that we just moved back and didn't have a chance to see him before he passed away. The doctors had given him 3 to 5 years a year ago. It was very sudden. I got a text from my brother this morning that my mom had called him and my uncle wasn't doing well and a doctor told them he had at most two days left. So we were going to see him after work. But maybe an hour after I got that text, my mom called me at work and let me know. It was very sad. I'm kind of numb. I have this image of him playing over and over in my brain - this crazy, gleeful smile while mixing the tiles up between hands on Mexican Train. It makes me smile to think of him that way. This is all jumbled of course with random thoughts. My aunt is doing well considering. Her kids and grandkids and my parents and my brother who lives here and his wife all went over to be with her. I am going to be a pall-bearer.
