I really, really, really like Donald Fagen's voice.

I'm not sure that I necessarily do. I find it charming and I couldn't imagine anyone else singing those songs (someone tried to, twice, on the debut), but he's not a favorite vocalist for me. Favorite lyricist? Of course.

Also, one of the best guitar bands ever. I don't care if they're stuffy or lame. Listen to Countdown to Ecstasy and you'll fall in love with the instrument all over again.

There was a "Biography" episode on recently about Chevy Chase, and apparently he was friends with and played with the guys in Steely Dan before they became such at one point.

Probably old news to some around here, but I didn't know that. Gotta love the random nature of the entertainment world sometimes.

Steely Dan are all right. I don't mind hearing them every now and again on the radio.

Yay, got that apartment I was talking about today. It's going to be a bummer moving out of this neighbourhood, but it's nice to have it taken care of with a month to spare (when I moved into the current place, we found it 2 DAYS before we had to move out of the previous. That was stressful). Strangely enough, the thing I'm most concerned about now is getting my cat to become an indoor cat Poor fella. I asked in the cat thread a while back, but anyone here have any experience with that?

I ordered a used book online, and it showed up in a regular old padded mailing envelope. I don't know what the hell was on that envelope or in the seller's house, but my cat would not leave the envelope alone.

She kept rolling on it, and sitting on it ..... I'm pretty sure she spent most of the night just sitting near it.

As funny as it was, it was starting to creep me out a bit, so I threw it away this morning. I hope she isn't too pissed off at me. That might have been her soul mate or something.
