Also Chelsea is entering her River Song (Doctor Who) costume in a contest so I'm going to take pics for her today. I'll post a pic here if she lets me.

 So true. I play videogames at uni now with fellow students. Such nerds.

Ooh otherwise just private message me on fb? I'd love to see it. :)

Not really hard to make for the costumes as much as costly. LOL! Well they try their best to save and cut corners where possible, try to find the best deals on things they need. It's more like a scavenger hunt to find just the right piece of clothing or accessories that can be tweaked to look like what the characters wear. Sometimes they have to dye or paint items or sew them differently etc... Jackets that may look like leather they find cheaper non-leather versions and that sort of thing.

Oh ok Chelsea is ready for pics, I'll be back with a pic to share I hope.

Yeah the price is definitely a problem! I spent shitloads on stuff for my sword and shield already, like, at least 100 euros. :crack: But I'll be using them the next bunch of events I guess, my last costume cost me about 20 euros for a new pair of pants I still wear, so it evens out. Got a pair of boots at the 2nd hand store for 6,50 so that was very welcome. :D:
I still need the leather for my gloves and fabric for my tunic. Super happy my mom and Domo have both offered to help me out making them. :reject: I'd be completely lost alone!

By the way here is the character she's dressing as, she actually has 3 different costumes for this character. My favorite is actually the old west outfit. It also doesn't hurt that Chelsea has her same hair

:applaud: Awesome. Do you have any pics in costume? :hmm: Chelsea asked if you had any you could show us? :D

Ok I'll be back

I don't have my costume yet, but what I'm aiming for doesn't really have pics, as it's various items gotten ingame. I can show you screenshots I took from my game though, it's bad quality as it's photographed from a 3DS screen.

The outfit and sword:

The shoes(Forgot to put them on in the above screenshot):

The gloves are actually silver, as it suits the rest more. But you get the gold ones after them and can't go back, so don't have a screen of that.

The shield(that's on my back in the pics):

That last one has the traditional Master Sword, but I'm using the one in the first screenshot, Biggoron's sword. It's as the name says, the biggest sword in the game. It'll be huge. I've scaled it alongside Link(who is, practically a dwarf). So it'll be 1.30meter for me.
I'm also going for the Zora tunic(aka blue) rather than the traditional Kokiri(green), cause the green is the most standard thing. That's why I'm changing shoes as well, they belong with my tunic and make me stand out a bit more. It'd be a shame to go traditional and be one of the 50 green Links there.

Cool Gg :D She asked if you were doing green or blue too, so i told her blue. Can't wait to see your finished costume!

Ok photoshoot is done, just waiting for her to send me a few samples.

She was in ER. Dr. Corday! You sexy bitch!

Back from the Cranberry Festival. Tired and sunburned which is interesting for Columbus Day Weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving Neighbors to the North. Before coming on here, I no one from Canada aside from Bryan Adams, Alanis Morrissette, Bare Naked Ladies and Robin on HIMYM. Now I know a bunch!

I LOVE Thanksgiving. It's the gateway to the Christmas season. That's why I like Halloween. I hate holidays in away because of the jockeying for family time...but I'm sure I'll get into that later as each holiday approaches.

I can't wait either, making it already is so much fun. It better be worth it! :hyper:
At least I can save money on the leggings and the turtleneck. I'll be getting those from the cheapest store possible. Shouldn't be that hard to find.

:D Yay!

:shifty: Next stop, my house. And don't worry baby, you can stay the night to get well rested. Though we'd need more than a night if you want to sleep...

Wow that's insanely hot! Yeah I had to google that. But it's warm, like what we had last week. Now it's back to cold here, I'd reckon 55-60 or something F. 13-15C. 286K. ;)

Sounds nice that you got it for the weekend, rather than working days. Always puts a smile on everyone's faces.

Bugger when did it get so late? Ah well, I finished most of my Calculus homework and folded laundry, so tomorrow I can take it easy after work and perhaps start sketching a bit more on fixing the sword handle ornaments from the foam. Or do the shield first, dunno yet.

 G'nite ladies.

G'nite Gg  You'll need to come back and see the pics of Chelsea in her costume, I'll post them here sometime later today.

ER rocked so hard.... I loved that show.

Cranberry Festival.... better NOT let my mom hear about that. She loves cranberries.... And, as we live on the other side of the country from you, it'd just piss her off that we can't go.

Bryan Adams rocks. First cd I remember buying was one of his. :shifty:

He's gotta be exhausted. This is worse than a real tour. Next stop LA then the MOON!

FTW.

I saw some Ray-Ban Mirror Ball Man shades rip-offs for $10 in a store last night and think I might want them. :shifty: I resisted last night but I think today I'm going to break down and go back and get them. :shifty:

Had a nice few hours out. I got my hair cut, which was awesome. Got around 4.5 inches chopped off, so my head feels SO much lighter now. :) I also bought some new work-type clothes, because my fall work wardrobe is abysmal. Also got some DVD's and more of my favourite pumpkin scones. I shouldn't have spent so much money, but whatever. I rarely go shopping these days, and most of the stuff is an investment in my future career.

Now to relax and do whatever the hell I feel like doing for the rest of the day.

Yay for shopping! :D

I love that feeling too on the haircut! I just did the same with mine too and got a bunch off after the summer. It feels really short but it feels good!

:shifty: Example from last night shopping with the shades I'm going to go back and get now. lol (of course my hair is a mess here but whatever)
