I can't help but have mixed feelings about the rankings, to be honest, going into the competition, the rankings were the last thing on my mind. The main purpose was to introduce people to musics that they had never heard before, which the pipe dream of someone actually becoming fans. And now, I can't believe this, once the rankings come along, you do yearn for a high ranking and feel a sense of disappointment when you don't get a particularly high one.

This is a weird feeling and I wonder if I'm the only one who gets it.

You'd be surprised how often "re-housed" means "put down".

The really feral cats get put down straight away apparently. I'm going to build a DIY cat net that should give him plenty of play room outside now for when we aren't home. Otherwise its just too hard.

A LOCAL channel is reboradcasting the 2011 AFL premiership.

Have I teleported to Australia without realizing it?

Making a "Fuck you Dave" playlist >>> any ranking

Indeed!

I am so hyped for the next main competition, even if it doesn't happen till later next year than planned. It's going to be epic! Epic, I say!

Oh, I've already started filling my Traviud-and-Axver-imposed quota of at least 60 songs.

So, Fleet Foxes are playing Melbourne. I'm not sure if I want to go or not. It's not as expensive as I thought it would be, but still a bit pricey. I'm not that crazy about them in general, but they ARE playing all of my favourite songs from the first album. It is at an all-seated venue though, and god, the hipster presence in the audience will be huge. Think I'll give it a miss and save my money for gigs I'm more committed to.

 for the Robin with long hair ava, Daniel.

I've not been to a concert since U2.

I've seen over 160 sets of music this year alone. Assuming three bands in each gig's line-up, that's more than fifty gigs.

No wonder some of the staff at the Northcote Social Club and the Corner Hotel recognise me.

well, one of them owes me a reply to a PM  Which one? Who the fuck knows?

The options on "do you want to download such and such update" buttons aren't harsh enough. Like iTunes just asked me if I wanted to update it and the options were "download" and "don't download." Where's "Fuck off, you piece of shit. You want me to let you make pointless additions that only increase the size of the program and make you harder to navigate? Fuck you."? The other one can be "derp."

This wins the "Caused Embarrassingly Loud Laughter At Work" award... lucky for me nearly everyone has gone home already.

My kitten was not desexed but...HES AT THE POUND!!!!!!! :hyper: Only downside is it's a $150 bail out fee but I don't frigging care He's Alive!!!!

Was very glad to read this!

The simple fact if the matter its that swype is the freddy way too type on my phone hands down, but I just make so many damn tips it feels like I need to learn an alternative ac/dc see big I can't get as day with that..

Case in point, I decided not to correct any of this message.

AC/DC is alternative now? No wonder Triple J played them in their Hottest 100 Aussie Bands of All Time thing!

Lol! I had fun reading that post once I was done with it.

This keyboard I have now is a dream, even if it's not quite as fast.

Oh and Travis will disagree but I was super disappointed by Fleet foxes live. Definitely IMO though. I wasn't having the best time at that moment either, but I went to a spot I was more comfortable in and still found myself bored with their set.

Oh, I absolutely 100% disagree. They're fucking pros, and I don't understand how someone who takes the slightest enjoyment in their music could be bored by them live, especially when the arrangements for the debut's songs are all tougher and louder. The Helplessness Blues tracks were fine, album-accurate renditions and certainly worthwhile, although not quite as inspired. It's clear to me that they know the debut inside and out and kicking serious ass with it these days.

The fact it would cost about $120 for both Charlotte and I to go is the main thing that puts me off. $60 per ticket is honestly not as much as I expected, especially when I saw that they're playing the Palais (I was expecting $80+), but it's still more than I'm willing to pay.

Plus, all-seated venue? Fuck off.

Yeah, but Fleet Foxes are such a hipster sit-down kind of band anyway. The crowd would be lifeless even if it were at the Corner or the Forum and they had to stand.

Plus the gig being in St Kilda is another mark against it. It's just a bit of a pain to get to shows south of the Yarra, really.

It would be hilarious/sad if the Geelong team song changed with the sponsor names.
