PGP: Oh leather, how I missed thee

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
well, I couldn't get my act together; get the photo I needed, plus save enough money in time to get a passport and enough $ for a hotel to get there......... within the next 3 weeks. :|

Too anxious to hold onto saving up big chunks of $$: been spending alot of it on yarns, and some on silver wire ( make pretty/or funky-cool things for me since most of my clothes are pretty plain that's how I spice things up): and buying art supplies, including bit-by-bit special items to start making "Artist Books".

Those are singular, sometimes small editions that involve a lot of different things, sometimes all and partly hand done items with in and on the cover of each Artist Book. And there much more variety in the styles, shapes etc of books Includes Japanese "stab" book method, accordin folds and other stuff!
:heart::drool::heart: I looooovvvveee them!

And it's TOO Late also to go to TO/ U2 or Montreal just to hang out with you on line :( same thing re too late to get the visa.

And I have to save up for anew camera. :|
it dosen't have to be the latest best model by far (like have the $$$ for that:lol:) . I'm looking into Canon Power Shots. I like them!

SO I am now seriously going back to thinking of going to Chicago/ GA!!!

ALso Philly /GA

mY feelngs are have to do 2 GA's so that If one dosen't work out I have a back up.

SO>>>>>> Who's going to Chicago ???
and Philly - don't too many people here are (4 Philly)

<hopes VP is, I know ZU :( isn't >

Yeah, I bailed on that one  We all do what we have to do.

I'll have to look into those Artists Books. I feel like there's another name for these... they look so cool! I don't think I have what it takes to make them though. I'm not that creative / I can't visualize them. But the pics I see when I look them up look beautiful.

I keep looking at the Oakland/Anaheim/Montreal tour threads and haven't been spoiled yet.

I can't remember the last time I looked at the Montreal thread. :hmm: I didn't think about potentially getting spoiled there, but that's good that there haven't been spoilers in any of those threads. :)

I started seeing them at exhibits in the 80's in Soho. ANd when I was in Brooklyn one section in the Library of display windows almost always were showing different ones over time.

THAT started to remind me and reawaken my interest.
and finally about 2 years ago I saw a pamphlet for The Center for the Book arts here in NYC!
Now that really got me going on it.

Believe me I was unsure myself if I had enuff skillz in imagination for it. But I finally got some ideas, so I'll be going for it!

everyone enjoy the rest of the weekend!
anfd happy Birthday again, zu!

Zooey, I hear you about the birthday thing. We have just started taking the family out for supper on birthdays, and whoever is having a birthday gets to pick the restaurant. However, this year was my 40th, and when Sean asked what I wanted to mark "the big one", I told him Montreal and Toronto with you girls, and he agreed. It means he will have the kids for a week, and I still can't believe that he was ok about it. Thank goodness he loves U2 as well!

Looks like we're celebrating the same way Amy! :D Except my trip with the girls is for my 50th.

 Glad I will get to see you in Minni! Sean will be there for that one!

Yay! I haven't checked yet for gatherings at all these shows. I guess i need to start checking! Because I don't wanna miss meeting all of you guys!

There is a gathering the night before the Minneapolis concert near the venue. It is across from the Days Inn, where I think most of us are staying!:hyper:

I am surprised that there isn't a gathering in Montreal. I mean, us plebans have a gathering planned, but there isn't an general Interference one.

Ooh well I'll be at the Minn one for sure, and we'll be at that hotel too. :hyper: Is the gathering info in the Minn thread? Well I'm sure we'll all see each other at the hotel too. :hyper:

Cool. At least I will be able to meet more than his shirt this time around. :giggle:

Hi ceecee

I'm off to get a shower and make strawberry margaritas before the U2 show starts.

(It almost sounds like I'm actually seeing the show, rather than just watch a setlist update on Twitter  u2 fans = :coocoo:  )

I'm doing alright. Just going to watch some hockey to pass the time until the show starts. I am sure tonight will be a good one!

The 360 one is pretty good. Needs more Edge. In a little while, I might try baking my father's birthday cake. He'd have been 53 today. So B's 4 days older, but my father has 2 years on B.

^ VP!!!!!!!
If you check back in here - how's life? How's your job? How's things now that Sarah's gone? How are YOU?

I miss you!!!! :tackles:

Life is good in some ways, bleh in others, like it is for most people.

Work is good! I've learned so much, and work independently in most ways (I have my own clients now!) , but in this job, there are many unique circumstances that pop up that I have no idea what to do, so I still need to ask.

Yesterday I was kind of pissed though - you know those situations where something goes wrong, and you automatically look bad for something even though it totally wasn't your fault, but the person whose fault it was doesn't 'fess up, but you can't really say anything, because that would make you look like an asshole? One of those. :| But whatever, I'm sure that things like that happen in every work place.

Also, I'm pretty sure I need a root canal, but I found out the other day we don't have dental coverage. :scream:

But...I've had a couple of really cool things happen at work this past week, too. Things that made me smile for the rest of the day. Contacting contest winners, and hearing their reactions. :)

I took Sarah back this past Monday after work. She'd been here since the day before Good Friday, so nearly 3 weeks. I haven't really had time to miss her yet. And like she said, she'll be home more this summer that she was during the school year, so I'm sure it'll be fine. This weekend, one of her best friends from high school is with her for the weekend, so I'm sure they're having a great time. I'd like to think they're out clubbing, but they're probably sitting around discussing today's episode of Doctor Who and playing video games.

How are you??

Gotta burn the disc now, back in 10 or 15.

The disk wouldn't burn properly, so now I'm watching Arcade Fire at MSG, alas. :firstworldproblem: But damn, I was really looking forward to that, sigh.

Dazzled, earlier you asked about me and Chicago? I'm afraid not, that was the first show of mine to go. :( As of now, I'm only going to the Toronto show - I only have two and a half vacation days till July 12  and I booked off two of them the other day for the TO show.

Win Butler has a douche haircut. Love the band, but every time I see him, I think "Win Butler, if you'd let that one side grow out, you'd look like less of a douche."

Win Butler has yet to take my hair styling advice.

Also, Win Butler sorta reminds me of Jason Segel (who around this house is known as Sarah's pretend boyfriend). But then a few months ago we watched the unedited version of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which featured Jason Segel's wang, and so now when I look at Win Butler, I'm reminded of Jason Segel's wang.

My head - it's not always a pleasant place to be.

:streamofconsciousness:

This post wins the thread. Did you know it was a contest? Well, it is, and this post won it. I don't know who Jason Segel is but I don't care. Wait, I do care. Going to IMDB, brb.
