The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

For whomever was asking, assuming they're playing at the Owl & Thistle again, it's located in/near Pioneer Square, which is roughly the same vicinity of Qwest Field.

It's just so damned tiny. Once we start making firmer plans, I can see if we can reserve a section of tables. Not sure if we can.

Yes, but this time we snag tables near the actual stage, not the restaurant part - that's the secret. Last time they played there, a bunch of us were at one of the tables/booths along the wall, so we had somewhere to park our junk while we boogied our butts off.

It's a shame we can't have a meet-up at a bigger place and then go to Owl & Thistle later, but if we do that, we'll be stuck way in the back of the bar. :grumpy:

Oh well. At least they have food, so it makes sense to just do it there.

yeah, and once dancing starts, you end up right up front anyway! But it'd be nice to have a place to sit and store coats for the hours leading up to the show, and for folks who don't want to dance their fool asses off.

Last time (october?) was kind of lame because they hadn't cleared the small tables from the area in front of the stage, so there wasn't room for dancing. By the time the second set rolled around, the people sitting there got the hint and all the tables were moved aside. But that was annoying.

Well, I found a "Red 1" on ticketmaster this morning. I assume this is Edge's side? I'll be 40 this year, so this is a special Happy B-day gift to me. Never done a Red before and I have never been in this cool looking stadium. :hyper:

are you back from DC or PHX or are you back in SEA??

Any meet up planned for out of town fans?

Hey, i'm actually home near SEA now but i'm moving to DC this week to start a new job next week.

I will come back for the show because its one of the few Saturday shows! Not sure I can do other shows because I have a job for the first time since college, 2.5 years ago!

:sigh: :(

It really sucks but after some number crunching and a realistic look at our budget, we just can't do it. We've gone into debt for the last 2 tours and we have to do things differently this time. But I'm happy our tickets went to some really cool people :)

I know I shouldn't post this inside here, but I am desperately looking for Seattle GAs. I need 3, but I'll take 1 or 2 if you have them - PM me babies.

I'm coming in on the 2nd/leaving on the 5th. Hope to see ZS as well.

I *might* have an extra GA - I also picked up two RZ a couple of weeks ago - I bought them cause of DH's birthday - although he's already told me it wasn't for him - I'm hoping they don't mix it up and make RZ1 Adam's side - I had that in PHX.

I won't know about the extra GA for SEA for awhile - I did see some GA's on StubHub - I know I know - but there's always that

Hey your Dad still with AS? I took a buyout five years ago now - kept the bennies - but miss it - a lot.

Where are you at for SEA?
Congrats on the job! My last year with AS I temped in DC - I LOVE DC - great city - I cannot say enough good things about living there - even during the summer months - which is dreadful in the humidity

Ok... please keep in touch with me, I'm going to send you a PM so you have my name in your inbox there in case once comes available.

I will have to go with a Stubhub/TixNow purchase if worse comes to worse, but I'd much rather buy off a fan at face value of course :)

Continental has some cheap fares today from PHL - SEA. One way ticket on 6/3 costs $140 (incl taxes & fees). Three days ago it was $260+ (yes, a round trip would have cost $500+). I'm using miles for my return flight.

Book it, Danno!

I will be booking my flight this week since I am able to apply a credit to a future flight, as of right now the flight will be $174 out of pocket. However I will be arriving late Friday and leaving early Sunday, so any partying that will be done will be limited due to needed rest. And yes, I need it.

I went ahead and booked this flight.

Usually they don't start until tennis so,but I was thinking we'd have an earlier get-together to eat, drink and chat. And also to get a good spot. Hopefully you can at least swing by for a while to hang out, even if you're too tired to stay for the show. :)

I'll have to call to see about reservations, but based on how early the place filled up last time, I wouldn't want to make it any later than 6. That's early, but as long as we have a few people there to save a few tables, people can come later and hopefully still have room to sit down.

It's not the ideal place for any sort of large meet-up,but a Zoo Station show is the perfect event to build our own gathering around.

I'm probably also already way over-thinking it. :reject:

When we get closer, I'll start doing a rough headcount and make firmer plans.
