Bulls, New Zealand Superthread

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
It suddenly occurs to me that this thread could bring about the return of *browneyedtwit*

So, Aussie Posse. How does one get "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" out of one's head without resorting to a pistol?

Wow. I haven't started a Superthread in 32 Superthreads.

No points for guesssing which one it was.

It was Bobos, natch

I'd laugh if I really had to do that. I'd just drink all the coffee.

Sounds awesome

I once worked as an office assistant in a law firm over Christmas. It was brilliant - my friend and I were doing gift baskets for the clients. These involved brie and Belgian chocolate. We had a whole fridge full of brie at one point! Then we got to cover reception, and just sat there eating brie and playing some random game that was lying around:

And of course, making box forts!!

And yes, we got to eat all the leftover Belgian chocolate  Plus, we basically got paid for wandering around the city and going to Burger Fuel while we were looking for these seemingly non-existent client offices

Ahh, those were the days.

...what was I saying again?

Nothing serious. I just had a stressed out lunctime where I was supposed to get some Coolant for the engine of my car. Turns out after the store spent about 25 minutes on the phone waiting for an answer....that I actually have to go to the dealer and have it done.

Basically if I do it myself it voids the new car warranty. Thus, I did not have time to get it done and was nearly 20 minutes late back from lunch...

I'm driving to melbourne tonight, not allowed to leave work early for the footy cause 'i go down every friday to melbourne anyway' (Ok thats the least of my worries)...hopefully the car holds up, dad gave me some reassurance, and I think I will be fine.

Will probably check in the morning and if its still low, head straight to hyundai.

:crack: Ugh, that sounds so frustrating! I hope the car is ok after your long drive.

Good luck, Daniel ... don't want you showing up on our doorstep saying "yeah, car packed it in over on Tulla"!

Daniel, take some water with you, just in case it does overheat. You can cool down the engine with it if need be. Just don't pour any in the radiator, I suppose, to save your warranty.

American perspective: What a dumb rule that is, though. Over here, you can do all your oil changes, etc. yourself without worrying about the damn warranty. Of course, over here, if you're not doing that sort of thing yourself, then there's something wrong with you.

Thanks people. I think I'm just streesing out over nothing. And I will be fine, its just frustrating that I can't do it myself!

Pretty stupid huh? Yeah. Well I'm not sure how long the 'new car warranty' lasts. I know the service warranty is for 5 years, I'm hoping I don't have to wait 5 years do change my own oil and coolant ect!

That was even more bizarre when I heard it over the shitty mobile phone connection live at arse o'clock.

The question is no longer, Is Bono Okay?? ....It's, Is Bono high?

"What Time is it in the world (MUTHERFUCKIN) Showtime!" Please keep this in the setlist till you get to Australia!

If U2 just play HMTMKMKM and Glastonbury at Melbourne, I'd still go home happy.

Keep me cockatoo cool, curl
Keep me cockatoo cool
Don't be acting the fool, curl
Just keep me cockatoo cool

Well. Time for a firearm...

Hey Cin (and anybody else who cares), if you see this, you like Manic Street Preachers, right?

Because they're playing Melbourne on 20/11 at the Forum Theatre. One of those bands I've always meant to get into ... tickets are $71, I'm kind of keen.

Manic Street Preachers? Now that's a band I reckon I should get to know more of.

Did their lead singer return? Cause he went nuts after The Holy Bible and disappeared.

Cin, the MSP gig has a presale on Monday, 11am, for Ticketmaster members.

You ever heard The Holy Bible, Ax? It's really good (if dark as all hell.)

I've heard tracks from most of their eras, a couple from Holy Bible, not that I recall which. Like I say, I keep meaning to listen to more.

This seems like as good a time as any to do something about this.

Also, The Night Terrors dominated Melbourne last night with theremin awesomeness.

They were playing just a couple of blocks down Lygon St from where those two people were shot too ...

Nope, Richie (who, to be pedantic, was not the lead singer, rather, the lyricist) was declared legally dead in 2008.

Not pedantic at all my dear man.
Richie

:hmm: Moving on Sunday, finances will be too tight for a presale. It'll all work out somehow, even if I have to stand outside on the night. I'll be a hell of a lot closer and the sound will be a damn sight better than the last U2 gig I went to . :reject:
