Hello everyone I'm very glad to be with fellow U2 Fans

My concern is i just purchased tickets to the U2 show in Miami 7/9/2010 Sec 129 row 13, from looking at the stadium seating chart on ticketmaster it looks like i will be right in front of a Claw it didn't say it was a obstructed view but from the chart it dosent look good and after paying 95 + a ticket I'm VERY concerned does anyone else have the same concerns regarding this? i really hope I'm wrong and the chart is wrong.

Thanks.

Hi I had seats from the last leg that the seating chart had shown a possible obstruction with the claw and also had seats for another date that showed no claw. The first seats ended up having no claw and vice versa. I wouldn't worry as that chart is just a guideline. Good luck!

They also have seats set aside if your seat is indeed obstructed, just get there early enough and talk to customer service.

Don't worry, I paid 95 dollars for my seats in Vancouver and on the chart, my seat looked like it was right behind the claw and it looked like it would be totally covered but when I went there my seat was actually pretty awesome and the claw only covered the very back of the stage which was barely used anyway!

ehhh...I heard this before the Vegas show...thought it was too good to be true, and as it turns out....it's BS. We had obstructed seats in Vegas, and because the stadium seats came so close to the claw, it was actually a very obstructed view...Larry was pretty much blocked off for the entire show...I asked customer service if there were other seats and long story short....nobody was being relocated anywhere for obstructed views....luckily Bono/Edge/Adam move around, so I still had a great time, but it was pretty annoying. I'm sure some have had luck getting relocated, but it's definitely hit or miss. Good luck :)

Thing is, they're required to relocate you if your view is indeed obstructed.

well, if after asking customer service repeatedly if there's anything they can do, and getting the same answer...there's really nothing you can do at that point even if they're "required" to relocate you

maybe if I asked another person though, I woud've had better luck..who knows

Wow i hope if i in fact have a obstructed view i will be able to change seats i could have good seats just the seating chart didn't give me a good feeling

Well we've had people post stories about being relocated so it's not BS. A buddy of mine got relocated in the Dallas show, I was suppose to go with him so I knew where the seats were so I told him ahead of time to go early see what he thinks and talk to customer service if he didn't like the view. So he did and even though technically they weren't truly obstructed view, it really just blocked Larry they moved him anyway to much closer better seats.

I would like others peoples opinion by looking at the seating chart and tell me what you think

hmm, hard to say really, one thing I have found with these seating charts is that the scale and postion of the claw is always off. I think you could be ok but honestly there is no way to really tell until the day you show up.

Look at the diagram (which may not be up yet) at 360.u2.com. I don't know why these images aren't in other places as they are very detailed...

We were in section 135 in Vegas and it was quite accurate:

focus on the little rectangle base at the end of the claw, that's what you'll be looking past, not the arm of the claw that sticks out (we were able to see Larry clearly in the middle of the stage)

Doubt they'll do it on the $95 and $30 lower level seats. They already re-priced them down from $250 because of the limited view

For Philly I have seats in section 120, row 18, seats 19-20. Just past the Claw leg, so there shouldnt be any obstruction, but the front of the catwalk may be

Yeah...I'm aware that some people have been relocated successfully....but like others have said, it all depends on the venue, and I think it's safe to say that it is never guaranteed, unfortunately.

I have seats for the NJ show in section 215, row 2, seats 1 & 2. It kind of looks on the seating chart that one of the claws would be in front of us. My tix were 95, but I saw tix on TM that were in section 210 which is further from the stage, and they were 250, so I don't know. I know I'll have a great time wherever I sit! This is kind of off topic, but when you guys were talking about being relocated, it reminded me of when I went to my first U2 show in 92. I worked right next to MSG and wasn't able to get tix, so I thought I would try to scalp some of my lunch hour. Long story short, I paid $150 for 2 tickets which ended up to be counterfeit. When I went to the show that night, I could find the section and row, but the seats didn't exist. When I went to the security guy, he asked me where I got the tickets. He said there were great fakes, and he showed us to the press area where we ended up having a great view! Sometimes, I guess it just depends. I think the guy knew he would have to drag me out kicking and screaming so figured it was easier to let us stay.

I have seats in section 126 for the Philly show. How much do you guys think my view will be obstructed by the speaker towers they have set up in the back? Does anyone have pics from similar sections at other shows?

Hey all, thanks for the info. I'm a UMN student and lucked out with this whole pre-sale thing. I got two tickets for section 144, Row 30. I think it will be ok, although some of the rear stage might be obstructed. Any thoughts/opinions/likelihood of claw getting in the way chances? For some reason the tickets were only $55 apiece, which makes me suspicious in a "too good to be true" kind of way.

there isnt really anything in the rear stage. Larry is basically in the middle, depth wise. that claw should offer you no obstruction. you basically got tix that were more expensive than the just completed leg. those should be great!

Did you have your view obstructed by the claw?

I am interested in hearing from anyone that had seats that were somewhat obstructed by one of the legs of the claw. It just seems like some of the seats on the sides (and in some cases the most expensive price range) might turn out to have a limited view of the stage and the band. Or, are the claw legs small enough and/or the stage big enough that I shouldn't be worrying about this?

Thanks for all replies.

They repriced the seats near the claw this time so they are only $95 or $30 rather than $250
