So here we go...it is the round we've all been waiting for the Joshua Tree rounds. Starting off with Where the Streets do indeed not have a name. We'll be doing 3 songs this round Streets, Luminous Times and Walk to the Water. Poll will be open for 2 days and you can vote based on whatever you want

As well guys I want to know what remixes/alt versions of songs you want to vote on in the rest of the competition so far I'm thinking of doing Lady with the Spinning Head (Extended Dance Remix), NLOTH 2 and Crazy Tonight (Live). I want to know what you guys want to vote on separately. Do not pick songs you think are better but songs that you feel cannot be counted as being the same as the original and that are popular enough to warrant their own round.

10. My second favourite U2 song. It's epic.
But I hope that TUF stays before it.

TUF and ASOH beating Bad? I'm sorry... I love all three songs, and I gave all three songs tens, but come on, Bad should have been at the top.

As far as Streets goes... nine. Great song, but not quite all it's cracked up to be. I greatly prefer Bad as U2's anthem of the 80s. Also, the title WTSHNN is grammatically problematic (shouldn't it be Where The Streets Have No Names?).

Bad has what many believe to be a weaker studio version though. Bad should be played at every concert, but TUF and ASOH should make any best of compilation before it in terms of studio

Ehh... I wasn't voting on studio versions only (but rather the song as a whole... I believe the quality of a song encompasses everything about it), so I guess that's where my confusion comes from.

Oh I wasn't trying to contradict you, just telling you why I believe it underperformed. Some people vote only on studio, some may vote on the average.

I love studio Bad though, people are crazy

Wait, isn't this called The Streets With No Name? It's on the same album as In The Name Of Love, Bloody Sunday, and It's A Beautiful Day, right?

U2 summed up in one song. Perhaps the greatest U2 song. It's hard to say, but it's a 10, surely.

Seven. I find it pretty overrated. Even live, it doesn't do much for me.

Whoa. Obviously you get all kinds of opinions on a forum, but even with all the bickering I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone say Streets was over-rated.

He still rated it a 7 - I know I've seen at least a couple of people around here over the years who outright disliked Streets (I don't remember screen names; don't think they were regulars).

10 without a doubt. if I was allowed one song to show someone while trying to convince them to become a fan of U2, Streets either on the 26th of Dec 1989 or at Slane would be my pick.

I'll agree that Streets from 26 December 1989 is an easy 10, or even an 11. Fucking incredible - I reckon it's the definitive live version.

I still enjoy it post-Lovetown, but especially from Popmart on, I don't think it's quite what its reputation claims it is. Slane would just be a 7 or 8 for me.

Oh no, appreciation for classic album tracks!

Whatever next!

I suppose I didn't vote for Pride. If I had, I would've given it 10. As beautiful as Promenade is, Pride is a fucking classic! Political song with great uplifting guitar and a singalong crowd chant. Quintessential U2.

I guess people like this one?

7 for me... I would have gone 7.5 but couldn't, obviously. It is a great song (grrrrreat, even), I still love it live, but I think U2 has done better. It's clearly an almost perfect mass-appeal sort of track.
