ahh, memories...gelsenkirchen was also great!

then it's like we experienced it together! isn't that lovely?

axver, that's right i remember now. they did a different version of elevation towards the beginning of every show.

these two songs in particular at least gave me a chance to check my email, make a few phone calls and rest my weary legs. :cute:

Do you really need three separate posts for this crap? Seriously I think we get your message. Next time, stay at home, that's the safest way not to get any U2 songs live you don't want to hear.

Yes he does. thats just his way, and we are probably better for it, try not to discriminate.

Your post is contradictory to you signature, which is a message of hope and love: coexist, one we got to carry each other :hug:

So PLEASE, behave now precious unicorn, play nice and let the wind sweep you away into the night.:heart::heart:

did i ever mention that i boo'd as loud as i could after they played stuck in a moment?
that didn't go over well, oddly enough. who'd have thought, eh?

Why in the hell would you boo? I hope that is the only concert you are going to.

I'd be so pissed if some ass next to me starting booing at a concert.

You knew they would probably play something you didn't like, so what is the point? I'm sure I could come up with 30 or more songs I'd rather hear than Stuck, but still. It is different to come on here and bitch about how much you hate certain songs, but to spend money to go to the concert and then boo like a frickin baby? Dude.

u2 insulting me with elevation, stuck in a moment, and vertigo in the same concert is no different than me booing a football player who deliberately scored an own goal.

i'm the ultimate fan, and i get what i want when i want. uh huh, it's true. except then, on that particular day. something went really wrong, apparently. i couldn't understand what was happening... kept thinking "why are they playing THIS??"

i gave you doubles.

...DOUBLES!

I saw it, after I had made my horrible mistake. I'm contemplating editing it, but then you'd have to edit too and that would likely impact the Earth's rotation; it might not be worth it.

Stuck, Elevation and Vertigo in the same show is just too much, doubly so when you factor in Boots needing to be played as well.

Wow sorry to hear some people feel that way about the setlist --to the point of booing?

For me the setlist was perfect and really worked. This is my 5th time seeing U2 and this is by far the best set list.

I was thrilled that they played Stuck In A Moment! It actually brought tears to my eyes and I loved that they did the song acoustically. Stuck is one of my favorite U2 songs --Definitely one of my favorites in All that You Can't leave behind. I also lost it when they played Bad -- it sounded amazing. I am also loving the fact that they are playing Ultraviolet Light and Walk On. The crowd was really singing when they did I Still Haven't found. Moment of Surrender was very emotional for me and sung beautifully by Bono. The only change I would have loved is to hear Crazy the album version and not the remix. However, the crowd went wild with the remix so I highly doubt that they will ever play the album version again (since they only played it in Barcelona 2 for the video). Like I said I loved the setlist and Bono's voice was in top form. He sounded amazing. Can't wait for tonights show. :applaud:

one thing i'll say about this show is how stark it is - when it's good, holy shit, it's amazing. when it's bad (see wowy, one etc), it's u2 at their absolute worst.

it's lucky the good outweighs the bad by a considerable margin.

Hearing Bad cures a lot if ills, though.

for real. i sat down for a rest during one and even put my earplugs in - i've never jumped to my feet so quickly. i don't even remember how quickly i got the earplugs out. are you doing tonight as well?

There's a review thread in another part of the forum. Great place to post reviews. Thanks!

we're discussing the setlist, actually. but thanks anyway.

That's funny, cos I was sitting right before Bad and jumped up right quick when I heard that it was Bad. No joke.

I am there tonight, yes.

it had almost the same effect as when i nearly fell down a flight of stairs when i last saw them in auckland and bad started, except this time there would have been a bunch of americans to catch me.

we're probably going to head down to grant park much earlier today to check out the planetarium and the museum of science etc (depending on if i can get up anytime soon). any chance you'd be interested in saying hi, or anything?
