What time does it show on the tickets? In Europe (at least shows I have been to), the supporting act was on stage at the time shown on tickets (now: in some cities that was 6:30pm, in some cities that was 7:30pm....so it def. varies from a city-to-city, most depending on that whole noise curfue thing).
Opening acts are on about 45 min. and then there is about 45min or so before U2 takes stage.

The tickets say 7 PM. I believe last tour, they came out at approx 9PM

U2 will likely start at 9pm, with the roof closed. so even snow patrol would play in the dark

doors open at 5pm

GA latecomers should be there no later than 3pm I suppose

LOL the whole point of being a latecomer is to show up at like 7 pm. Which is what I'll be doing.

Have fun in the GA line, those of you lining up! I had a blast most of the times I'd done it. :)

Where will you be at in the stadium, again?

I have GAs, so I'll be on the floor. But I don't think I will show up until 7 pm (at the earliest)...busy time of year for me at work and I don't want to take 2 days off in September.

So, am I correct in that there is no parking at the stadium?
Also, from Google maps, it looks as if the GA line will be right along Bremner Blrd.?

as if the European leg is over!!!

I'm still very curious as to how early/ later I can line up if I want to be one of those crazy people who line up being in the first 20 people lined up lol :hmm: :reject:

there is parking close to the stadium, best possible spot is the Simcoe Building underground parking lot, costs $10 or so, much cheaper than above ground private lots and closer than the Green P parking commission lots.

if you arrive at 7pm where do you suppose your spot will be on the floor?

I was planning to leave Ohio after work on the 16th, to get in GA line for the show on 17th. Figure a 7 hour drive... things have changed now, I will have to wait until my husband gets home from night shift at 6:30 Am on 17th because our baby grandson is living with us. I'm kind of bummed out.

Where do you think they'll stay this time around? on popmart it was four seasons.. got to meet them.

Where did they stay for Vertigo?

Where did they stay for Vertigo?

With the date changes and TIFF the band were scattered for Vertigo... apparently Bono and Edge rented a house in Yorkville, Adam was staying at the Windsor Arms and never heard where Larry stayed. Since it'll be mid-TIFF when they play here for 360 God only knows where they'll stay  I would try hotels in Yorkville first though - even if you don't meet the band there'll be enough stars around for you to run into *someone* interesting ;)

for Vertigo, somebody posted the name of the hotel the band stayed at but the moderators erased it as privacy for the band, too bad I didn't see that post before the moderator :(

on the European leg, how long before the show did the band show up at the venue? for TO1 I have seats so I can wait at the entrance of Rogers Centre but for TO2 I have GA's so I'll be stuck somewhere!

Thought I posted this already but can't see it. What time do you think U2 will come on stage. We have seats so trying to decide when to arrive. Also, will the dome be open for this. Saw Coldplay a month ago and the sound was not so good with it closed.
around 9, we know, sound at Rogers centre sucks

As she said, the post wouldn't have been accurate anyway, because they didn't stay at only one hotel (and in the case of B&E, they weren't at a hotel at all). Even the crew had to split up over several hotels.

Hey do you guys think there might be some celebs at the concert seeing the Film Fest is going on?? I was looking at the guest list for the film fest and looks like there's gonna be a bunch of actors in town, including my fav Colin Farrell
Might take a little walk around Yorkville the day before the show cuz that's where they're all supposed to hang out.
