I like what they tried to do with Crazy Tonight but it just does not work. Hopefully they just spiced it up for Barcelona.

I love the Krazy Tonite remix but I'm hoping they play it both ways too...spice things up a bit yanno?

Crazy tonight is my least favourite song from NLOTH, but I like this Discoteque-ish rendition surprisingly a lot more.

Wow! These are some damn fine youtube links. Damn fine. :) Wasn't expecting to see such quality clips. Tell your friend thanks bunches, Axver! Ultraviolet made me laugh with Bono swinging around. UF was just dreamy...

Ultraviolet is really fucking amazing. I cant believe how much effort Bono is putting into it even while swinging around. He looks like hes having a blast with this song.

They should "spice it up" with the old songs. Play the news ones as best they can and Crazy Tonight live was amazing... why mess with that? Vertigo we heard 1000 times, play with that song. Or Pride.

Why the new stuff is my question?

Usually the live versions are BETTER than the album. But I was taken aback by this decision. But I'll calm down as it's 1 show. 1 song. It's just my favorite on the new one is all.

It's always my favorite that doesn't get played or something like this.

As I listen to the show (on what is a great recording all things considered), and having watched most of the video clips, one thing is clear: this show is awesome. think back to San Diego 1, people...this is head and shoulders better all around (well, Edge needs to knock the rust off a bit).

The show is in first gear right now. The production is revolutionary. When this thing starts firing on all cylinders it will be a 7 layer bean dip for the senses.

All in all, I must say opening night exceeded my expectations.

Edge seems a bit rusty, indeed...

Alright, I've been avoiding video and audio of the unplayed new songs (MOS, UC, remix of CT) and the rarities (TUF, Ultraviolet) but out of the other tracks, I like what I'm hearing so far.

- I really like that intro song and if it's from Songs of Ascent, I'm already excited for it.

- Not sure how much I like No Line On The Horizon live yet. It feels like it lost some of its impact in its live translation. Bono rocks on it though.

- I really like the new Boots intro with Ode To Joy. Didn't they use that for the intro to Zoo Station on ZooTV as well? The performance is also a lot better than the promo tour versions.

- Tonight's version of Angel of Harlem may be one of the best I've ever heard. Really like the MJ snippets and Bono's incredible falsetto.

September can't get here fast enough.

Is it just me, or is Larry's drumming much better than the Vertigo Tour?

And I think Edge switched Vertigo to a... Gretsch?
