Looks like an official Press Release to me. Why oh WHY do they do things like this? Sheesh....less than a week to beg borrow or steal the money to pay for tickets before PreSale?!!!!

Looks pretty official to me - here is the article on Live Nations official press release site (on Live Nation letterhead and everything):

:up::camera::cool:

Great find!
I wonder when it will be up on u2.com

And damn it, if the general sale is really going to start on Saturday.
Out of all the days of the week, it just has to be on the one morning that I don't have internet access.
That sucks!
Although I think chances are high GA for this one will sell out during the pre-sale.

So just for kicks, I'm pricing out a trip to Vegas.

On Expedia.com, total trip for 2 people, ncluding non-stop flight and room at Circus Circus-$953.28.

:hmm:

<------------knows nothing about Vegas. :reject:

try the excalibur if you want to stay on the strip. They usually have great deals and its right next to the super expensive ones. the rooms are renovated and nice! Expedia is good but vegas.com is MUCH better for finding cheap rooms

dayglo, I just pulled up $159 non-stop on Jet Blue from Boston to Vegas on Oct 22nd.

$149 returning.

Flight 777 - it's a SIGN!

 im sure you'll find something that appeals to you and fits your budget. This website has helped me out a LOT in the past

Vegas.com, hmm? Will check that out.

I saw that super cheap flight + hotel deal for Circus Circus and then thought "....mmmmm ..... no."

It's pretty far down on the end of the Strip, too.

select the search by price...it'll weed out the REALLY expensive rooms and you'll see the decent priced ones that have good three star ratings as well

Booking your airfare/hotel

If I may add my 2 cents about booking hotel/airfare to Vegas....

As a person who has been to Vegas about 10 times (once for PopMart!) and learned the hard way once or twice, I would like to offer some suggestions to those who are looking to book a trip out there.

a. Don't book a package deal, it will end up costing you less if you book your airfare and hotel separate. If you book your hotel separate, you can track the prices, and call them if you find something cheaper and have them adjust it. You can't do that if you book a package deal through places like Expedia.

b. Sign up to be on the mailing lists for hotels you are interested in staying at. They will send you email specials. I booked a room at Excalibur for wed/thur/fri, checking out on Saturday for a total of $157. If you go with 2 or more people, that can be split up and will be dirt cheap.

c. Continuously look at hotels prices even after you book it. As I mentioned above, if the price goes down and you booked direct through the hotel, you can call them and have them adjust the price for you. I've done this several times and saved a lot of $$

I'm hoping to get tickets to Sam Boyd as well. I hope to be able to meet some of you while out there :)
