I got my magazine today! I haven't opened it yet but here it is:

I'll open it later when these people start going home. I can't wait to get my box set. Hopefully soon!
 
I keep logging into my amazon US account (I'm in Canada where they continue to have delays with these types of U2 releases) and I am starting to talk to the screen now. :reject:
I'm at some sort of packaging stage with my order.

shit. even though i know i could save money by going with the digipack version, i'm going to end up blowing $65 today.
 
:wave:I went to BestBuy this morning and bought the box set! :hyper::hyper::hyper:
The cd sounds amazing. Goodbye MP3 copy. It's in the trash. The packaging on the box set is cool! Excellent graphics. Now to check out the DVD.

:lol: I spent at least 10 minutes in front of the display rack browsing and comparing every single version, until a Best Buy employee asked if I needed help and I said.. No I'm just trying to choose a version. She must've been like :coocoo:

Oh and, yes the box set looks pretty. But it is also pretty expensive. :sigh:

The book and the magazine are the same right? :uhoh:


Ohh and :up: For my recordstore! The displays with NLOTH were almost all empty(they receive new shipping tomorrow morning) and they had ALL U2 albums in chronological order instead. :lol: It's great that there's a U2fan there, he's really nice.

yeah. now i'm starting to reason with myself. i'll probably go with the magazine version that's like $40 instead of the box set. i don't really need a hard cover and big box.
 
It's kinda ridiculous that they don't have a CD/DVD limited edition for 20 or 25 bucks. One should not have to pay 65 something just for the dvd. Oh well.

I got that yesterday at lunchtime, I came straight back to work and opened it all :drool:

I sat in bed last night and read the bits in the Book. I pissed myself Laughing at Larry calling Edge a bastard :lol: And the bit that Edge plays with the drum sounds and gives it back to Larry and Larry says WHO do you think is going to play that? :lol::lol:

Glad I plumped for that, but now I am thinking about vinyl too :hmm: :drool:
 
Can anyone who ordered their deluxe box from Amazon UK tell me if it came shrinkwrapped? I'm assuming the answer is yes but I'd like to know for sure.

So I was very patient this morning. Best Buy opened at 10:00 and I didn't arrive until 10:03 (stupid red lights). They had a very nice end-cap display with all five versions of the album.

First thoughts: This box set is huge. No way I'll be able to sneak this into the house without the wife noticing. Oh well, at least I can say I got it on sale.

Folded posters bite.
 
Also, if you guys wouldn't mind, could you type out the UPC codes on the back of both the UK and USA versions? I'd like to see if they're the same.
 
Bought regular CD for 10 bucks at Best Buy... disappointed in the booklet, like I figured... it used to be more exciting, but now I can't even read the lyrics to stand up comedy due to the white against white...

How is the 32 page color booklet? Better I assume.

It's nice. I didn't even know that the booklets were gonna be different. I was actually gonna buy the regular 9.99 version but decided to put down another 12 bucks for the digipak limited edition and I'm glad I did. SUC's lyrics are in black for me against a pale blue sky.
