I think I'm the only girl of a certain age who didn't like The Cutting Edge.

I did like Miracle quite a bit. My little brother was baptized the day of that game, and the whole family sped home from the church to crowd around the TV to watch.

Gotta say, I'm surprised we haven't had any Shuttlecock leakage yet. Universal is doing a good job keeping it from getting out.

It's only, what, nine days before the release in Japan? Take advantage now, Shuttlecock. Do something out of the blue and stream the album on your website. Now. Before there is a leak. Take the fucking initiative for a change. Supposedly people have the green light to play other tracks from the album later this week anyway.

Yeah, the rumor over in The Other Place is that tracks from the album will be played starting on the 19th. Of course, that could be complete bull. Who knows when the album will leak? Only the Boner knows.

Aren't all the reviews supposed to pour in today?

It's been getting between mixed and good reviews so far.

Is it odd that the bonus tracks on iTunes don't even have titles yet? I pre-ordered it on iTunes just to get them.

You're a nice guy, but that don't fucking cut it when you're fucking around like this in the Shuttlecock thread.

On wikipedia, it has two 4 stars, a favorable, and a 3 star.

EDIT: scratch that. A few more favorable/very favorable reviews have been added, plus a 2 star.

I'm aware. I'm the one adding all the reviews on Wikipedia. :)

Don't forget to add this one:

OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT HAS FINALLY HAPPENED!!!!THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVER CREATED BY THE HANDS OF MAN!!!!! :combust: THOSE FOUR YEARS WERE NOT JUST WORTH THE WAIT, BUT I BELIEVE THIS ALBUM IS SO GOOD THAT IT SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN VAULTS FOREVER! THE HUMAN MIND SIMPLY CANNOT COMPREHEND HOW BRILLIANT THIS IS!!!!

NO LINE ON THE HORIZON IS SONIC PERFECTION, JUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE, BUT IN A TOTALLY DIFFERENT WAY. BONO'S FALSETTO IS BACK, BABY!

MAGNIFICENT IS BETTER THAN THE TITLE COULD HAVE EVER MADE IT OUT TO BE. IT'S LIKE GOD HIMSELF NOT ONLY WALKED INTO THE ROOM, BUT GAVE THEM THE CHORD PROGRESSION.

MOMENT OF SURRENDER MADE ME CURL UP ON THE FLOOR IN THE FETAL POSITION AND SOB FOR HOURS. I MISSED THE REST OF THE ALBUM, SO I HAD TO GET UP AND START IT OVER. THAT'S THE ONLY THING I REMOTELY DISLIKE ABOUT THIS SONG; IT ALWAYS MAKES ME CURL UP ON THE FLOOR IN THE FETAL POSITION AND SOB LIKE AN INFANT FOR HOURS.

UNKNOWN CALLER IS SO GOOD, I WANT TO CALL EVERYONE I KNOW AND TELL THEM THAT THE EDGE IS ON FIRE. THE GUITAR SOLO WAS SWEETER THAN THE MOST SACCHARIN-INFUSED NECTAR IN HEAVEN.

I'LL GO CRAZY IF I DON'T GO CRAZY TONIGHT IS LIKE HAVING A THREESOME WITH SCARLETT JOHANNSON AND SALMA HAYEK ON ECSTASY. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT HAS TO DO WITH THE MUSIC, BUT IT'S JUST THAT GOOD.

Get On Your Boots sucks. The lyrics are idiotic, and, moreover, I'm bored with it.

STAND UP COMEDY IS SO GOOD, LED ZEPPELIN WOULD HAVE TO STEAL THE BEST NOTE FROM EACH OF THE GREATEST BLUES SONGS EVER CREATED TO MATCH ITS GLORIOUS MAJESTY.

FEZ - BEING BORN IS BY FAR THE MOST CREATIVE AND CHALLENGING SONG EVER CREATED!!!! EVEN THOUGH THEY CHOSE A LOUSY SONG LIKE BOOTS, THEY WAY THEY TOOK THE SOUNDS FROM ONE SONG AND REUSED THEM ELSEWHERE WAS AMAZING!!! I'VE NEVER HEARD SUCH A THING! ONLY U2 COULD COME UP WITH SOMETHING SO INGENIUS.

WHITE AS SNOW IS ONE OF THE MOST GUT-WRENCHINGLY BEAUTIFUL THINGS I'VE EVER HEARD. IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN ME EVERY WAKING HOUR OF MY LIFE SO FAR TO CRAFT SUCH A BRILLIANT MELODY, BUT BONO PROBABLY WROTE IT IN 5 MINUTES! I LOVE THIS BAND.

BREATHE IS THE GREATEST ROCK SONG I'VE EVER HEARD. IT'S LIKE THE ESSENCE OF ROCK N' ROLL WAS ADDED TO A BOTTLE OF POWERJUICE, AND U2 IS DRUNK ON IT.

CEDARS OF LEBANON WAS SO DARK AND PERSONAL, IT MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WAS THERE, WAKING UP WITH BONO WITH HIS CLOTHES IN A DIRTY HEAP. WHAT A GLORIOUS FEELING. AND ALBUM.

I'M HONESTLY SURPRISED THAT MY COMPUTER HASN'T ALREADY EXPLODED FROM HOW AMAZING THIS IS! ONLY A TOTAL DOUCHEBAG WITH NO TASTE WHATSOEVER WOULD DISLIKE EVEN .000000000000001% OF THIS ALBUM!!!!

Interesting tracklist progression. Will be even more interesting once we hear Every Breaking Wave.

No one else likes The Sandlot but me? It must be a sentimental favorite.

Also, you play ball LIKE A GIRL.

Everyone thinks I'm going to become Scottie Smalls. I just hope I don't do that embarassing hip swing, yelling "The Jet stole home, the Jet stole home!"

You might want to add this:

"As the clock rang out its midnight chime song, we circled up and prepared a listening experience paralleled with excitement. This was the U2 of the newness, and we would be getting just the one hearing and I am the fan.

________________ is a rolling rocker in the heavy styles of guitar ghosts from the far away past. Edge surfs the atomic skies and finds in himself the legendary power of mighty reverb. When he plays his solo, a mountain falls into the double trip of our revelations. Larry then hammers home the pulp with a quickening bump-thump that reminds one of Thor as he ascends to Valhalla. Adam sets the rumble tone with nimble kick-mixes in 5/8. (Someone has clearly been listening to early Hasselhof!) On the finally, Bono wears a noble cloak of silver as his voice explodes through a maze of silence. The end of the tune finds all 4 people of the band experiencing a telescope matinee, courtesy of Daniel Lanois' uncanny fine tuning."

And possibly this:

"Once the starting of the song has begun, The Edge unreveals his glorious chimes of progression, unleashing a sonic mystical dream that chokes the listener with it's good time smell. Bono then signs up for the fray with a falsetto croon that seduces the pigeons and makes hearts bump around in the sonics. Larry and Adam discuss a backbeat ergo Motown's classic days of double time howling and rum. The middle portion featuring a Brian Eno galaxy time warp of the melt, with cascading baloons of hawaiian punch exploding all over the frets."

Or give a thumbs up to your childhood friend from the press box like a fucking little girl.

You're not the only one. I mentioned The Sandlot a couple pages back as one of my favorite baseball movies as a kid. I'll always love that shit.

FOR-EV-VER!

Why I love off days:

I'm currently sitting in my living room with my laptop on a food tray. My whole family is out. I'm doing some laundry, I have a pizza in the oven, I'm listening to Return to Cookie Mountain, and I'm about to watch some TV shows I missed last week.

Where's the source?

Get On Your Cocks seems more like a #2 track anyway.
