I want to actually add conversation to the subject. He's right, Bono's lyrics have been getting progressively worse. You just want to attack people. I've seen you start several pointless arguments here. Have self esteem issues or something?

I personally don't understand how we can have a thread dedicated to two words out of what we can only assume to be a couplet...?
We can't say it's good or bad either way. We're taking two words completely out of context. The rest of this rhyme might be lyrical genius. We don't know.

I see the point that you're trying to make - I just think it's hard to make that point seeing as we haven't heard the words in context. You could be right; it could be awful. We just don't know yet.

People can be a bit harsh on here sometimes - so I don't agree with you on the topic of the thread but I don't think you're a moron or a dumbass :) Perhaps the people making those comments should remember that everyones entitled to an opinion for goodness sake.

Do you think the lyrics on Bomb were better or worse than ATYCLB, on the whole?

Hey its all good. This is a good thread. I'm just trying to get some ideas on how I can use submarine and gasoline in a poem. I'm struggling at the moment :hmm:
 
Actually, it was posted earlier...someone made it out of the beach clip...the official line appears to be

"I got submarine, you got gasoline"

Which, if it's about the west vs. the middle east - could be a decent couplet, in a "Subterrainian Homesick blues/Come Together" sort of way. I'm hoping.

I would love to hear the song and admit I was wrong. So we'll see.

We don't know what the songs (REALLY) are about, we don't the connection (or the lack of it) between the album title and the album itself, we don't know anything about the context/musicality/structure-situation of that rhyme, we know almost anything about this album but we looove to speculate of that with almost no details.

So... let's stop with these kiddish things.

It's not a romancist poem of the 19 century, but i think it could pass as a straight rock song... :reject:
