Do you mean Heath Ledger? I thought you meant Jack Nicholson at first because everyone always compares those two (altho Jack irritates the hell out of me. What a ham!) Heath was such a dark, unstable character and I don't get that vibe from Bono at all (even if he is wearing eye-liner)

That's an interesting point, to connect with the supposed North African influences - but since he didn't also pluck out every hair from his body, I'm willing to bet that it's not related.

That's my knowlegeable Gg! My guess is that he won't stop wearing 'shades' as eyeliner doesn't actually work very well as protection!
