I'm glad you appricated my Neko Case pick btw
Fox Confessor is awesome...

If I like Blacklisted, would I like Fox Confessor?
I've finally decided that I really don't like The New Pornographers, but like Neko Case.
I'm more surprised there was no Sea Change, I figured that one would have been a shoe in...
We should do a list with nothing before 1980 allowed.
Knowing that you like Emmylou (who also should have made the list ) I think you'd really like it.
It's very country but old-school, Patsy Cline Country
I was surprised Rubber Soul didn't make the cut, either. I know Screwtape (?) wondered where Help! was, but honestly, early Beatles stuff doesn't seem to be very popular around here.
Plenty of brilliant pre-80s albums didn't make the list
I think the amount of lists an album appeared on should of been taken into account more
Being number 1 on one person's list would make an album better than one that was 50th on everyone's list? Don't think so

I had Violator as well. I thought it would make it.

Perhaps this is a bit late, but Screwtape, nice calls on "Violator" and "Viva Hate." The former especially should have made an appearance - it is cut from the same cloth as "Disintegration" and is equally accomplished.
I like Violator, but I'm so tired of Personal Jesus that I forget that the rest of the album is so good!

How 'bout a list with nothing before 2000?
Halo, Waiting For The Night, Blue Dress and World In My Eyes are as worthy as the more well know tracks.
Those tracks are all amazing! Agreed! But how about I Feel You, Walking In My Shoes, Condemnation, In Your Room, Rush, One Caress, Higher Love...?

it felt like I was reading something from Rolling Stone - very safe choices in a lot of cases...
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that either, it just would have been nice for something more interesting than Arcade Fire to make an appearance or two...
I find it interesting that you cite Arcade Fire when making the argument that the choice was too safe when the Beatles and Zeppelin dominated much of the top 50.
We should do a list with nothing before 1980 allowed.
I was personally stunned to see Funeral make the top 10. Top 50, sure, but not sandwiched between Wish You Were Here and Revolver.
