Aah.

Amusing smiley :giggle:

Rub away. we suck.

C'mon it was only Collingwood

You guys SHOULD bounce back I hope next week, I'm hoping Adelaide loose as well, so we play you guys in the first week of the Finals

I think Sydney will drop off, but you won't be away too far, Paul Roos is probably my third favourite coach in the AFL.....you won't be down for too long while he's around.

If we have to invade countries just to try to desperately prop up our flagging economy and try to convince people that our empire still has some muscle to flex, then what are a few thousand civilian deaths?

He's a bad choice for her ANYWAY. I try to look back and laugh just because it's a shocking pairing, and surely doomed. She fell for him more out of pity than anything else, and you know that combined with the fact he's in Minnesota means it can't possibly end well. But she seems to think life can work out to be like some Disney fairytale, so she'll blindly pursue that in the short term and to hell with anything else ...
exactly! and it's amazing to think about how different things are now. world war two did so much to stimulate our economy, yet things are only getting worse for us, the longer we stay at war now!

ooh, why pity? i did think they were an odd pairing though.

yeah, i know what you mean. i tend to overbuy when grocery shopping :reject: and i will admit, i usually buy canned spaghetti sauce only because the one time i tried doing it homemade, it looked more like vegetable soup! i obviously messed up somewhere, but i hate when i get a recipe fucked up, it makes me never want to try again.

and eww, i hate mustard!

I mainly can't over-buy because of my budget and my limited space! There's so much more I'd like to get, but ah well.

I often feel my napoli sauce is too liquidy, but I think I manage to get away with it. Not so sure I'd serve it for anybody else, but it's quite good enough sustinence for me. Bolognese sauce always works out fine, though I haven't been interested in making that for ages.

Mustard's good! Especially proper English mustard rather than your wussy mild American stuff.

 it's amazing how if you disagree with just one aspect of bush's presidency, everyone labels you unamerican, a terrorist, and demands you move to france! it appalls me how one terrorist act could turn us into the most selfish people. usa ftl.

I love how moving to France is apparently a bad thing. Oh no, good wine, cheese, baked goods, public transport, and a rich history! How terrible.

The neocons have done a fucking good job of turning up the far right extremist noise and slander machine.

But now you have your PRECIOUS OIL! Oh, except we also need to drill in Alaska. Just to piss off Al Gore.

Oh, basically, the entire time we've known him, he's been less than happy. Kate always thought a girlfriend is exactly what would cheer him up, that his unhappiness was due to loneliness, so she'd try to set him up from afar. Well, that didn't work, so guess what happened!

Oh, the closing ceremony's on.

:reject:

I've just flicked over from Rove. Its funny, the only real part of the Olympics I've paid attention too, are the opening and closing ceremony, and they are pretty much the most boring part of the whole thing!

I'm trying to stay up to watch Chelsea Vs Wigan. :sleepy:

yeah, i know what you mean. food should be free :tsk:

:hmm: i've never had napoli sauce. i guess i've had bolognese, that's basically meat sauce, right? you can tell i'm not a big fan of italian food!

all i've ever had is the bright yellow american kind, but i imagine i wouldn't like any kind :hmm:

 i know! it's humourous how americans act like france is a country full of wussy people and such. oh wow, a country that doesn't feel the need to enter war all the time! wow they're a bunch of girly men!

and yeah, the far right doesn't seem to be the far right anymore thanks to how this nation is fucking up, they're becoming more like moderates! and anyone who's slightly left is some radical nut.

ooh yes, oil! black gold, texas tea. and now it's so expensive too! yet no one really seems to be speaking out about things we can do to reduce our dependence on it. al gore gets acclaim for speaking out, yet the majority chooses to do nothing. oil can't just magically get cheaper, so you just have to find ways to use less of it.

ooh yeah, i see what you mean. whenever i'd read his lj he'd usually be moping about how he wished he had a girlfriend. i don't see what's so horrible with being single. if i met the right person then sure i'd date them, but i don't see not having a boyfriend as me being some failure or something.

QFT!!!!

Napoli sauce is basically just tomato sauce really; I include onion and spring onion and things like oregano in mine. And my quirk is that I also put in some Worcestershire sauce. And yeah, bolognese sauce is the meat one.

English mustard is stronger.

Of course, the hilarious part is that France really isn't that far left as far as European countries go. Just look at de Gaulle or their current President, Sarkozy! Or at the fact they bombed New Zealand because Greenpeace was using it as a base to oppose nuclear testing in the Pacific. Now if we want to talk about leftist European countries, let's go to Scandinavia. They're just terrible people who don't feel the need to start wars, and provide universal healthcare, and are just a bunch of dirty commies. :tsk:

It worries me that I'd consider myself to just be in the middle of the left here, but feel like a total fringe loonie in US politics discussions. How dare I believe in global warming and universal healthcare and public transport and things.

ugh, i was gonna try to wait up until we finished this thread but now i don't know, i'm getting really tired :uhoh:

Where are we going? I like South Sandwich Islands, it's mildly amusing and is true to the original tradition of going to bizarre places you're unlikely to find U2 fans.
