That Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan looks awesome, though I'm not sure the solar panels there could power much more than Edge's amps.

Just read that China banned the use of English words in media - well after that I highly doubt any possibility of a U2 show in the country unless Bono learns Chinese and translates all the lyrics into Chinese... those folks are just mad

The Europe 2011 rumours seem to have gone quiet. Weird when European festivals are announcing headliners and the fight for fans concert dollar with early ticket sales has already begun.

Well..."Europe" may be a handful of UK dates and Dublin.

sources ? Sound more like something Korea would do :reject:

Concerns with the Spire seem like a ridiculous reason to skip Japan entirely. They could modify the stage like Dallas or Perth Popmart.

I need to mention that U2 reduced the height of the spire for the Arlington show due to the massive size of the Jerry-Tron. It had nothing to do with the stadium itself.

As you could tell from that picture, the dome on Cowboys Stadium is so high that they could've assembled the entire length of the spire- with plenty of additional clearance to boot.

Had the Jerry-Tron been smaller, the U2 crew would've probably been more inclined to keep the entire length of the spire- like what whey had done for the Geilenkirchen and Frankfurt shows.

The spire was cut off at the Cardiff show for unknown reasons.

I'm guessing now that the Claw could indeed fit inside the Tokyo Dome, whose dome/roof is more or less the same height as those on BC Place, UOP Stadium, and the Georgia Dome. Veltins-Arena, Amsterdam ArenA, and Commerzbank-Arena have lower ceilings, I bet.
