When I saw Bono's entrance for the Hawaii show:

I had a flashback to Stephen Colbert's entrance to the FSU Pow Wow:

That was a great show! I loved Stephen's "injury" ;) "Look, it's real blood!" And then FRAMPTON!

Stephen had some real superstars on his show... I was totally in awe of the talent he can marshall for something as silly as his "Shred Down"... I mean... Henry Kissinger?! Eliot Spitzer?! Anthony DiCurtis?! Rock on!

Is it sad that I will really miss my Daily Show/Colbert Report hour until they come back in January? :(

This should be interesting, to say the least.

A night of Colbert and O'Reilly

Charlie McCollum, 02:20 PM in Charlie McCollum, TV

The much-discussed crossover involving Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor'' and Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report'' is going to happen.

The two cable channels have announced that Bill O'Reilly and Stephen Colbert will trade appearances on their respective shows the night of Jan. 18 -- which should make some for real giggles. "The Colbert Report'' is, of course, a faux news show that sends up right-wing pundits, while "The O'Reilly Factor'' (the top-rated show in all of cable news) just seems like a faux news show (well, to liberals anyway.)

It sounds as if both men are going into the cross-over with the right attitude. In a statement, Colbert said it was going to be "an honor to speak face-to-face with a broadcasting legend -- and I feel the same way about Mr. O'Reilly.'' Meanwhile, O'Reilly allowed that he was "looking forward to speaking to the man who owes his entire career to me.''

And that's the truthiness.

LOL, I can't wait. It sounds like O'Reilly gets the joke - it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.

The new episode was excellent!

The iPhone going around killing people...

"Guess what this (106" screen) TV would be good for? It rhymes with 'pornography'!" :lmao:

So I'm flipping back and forth to the O'Reilly factor, waiting for Stephen to come on, and I hear O'Reilly continuning to talk about the recent kidnapping case.

I think my head just exploded at some of his comments  .

I think I'll go play the "Stephen Stephen" song to calm myself down :| .

I wonder how that man can stand under the weight of his ego.

Stephen will own him.

Round 1 begins soon!

My friend on the east coast said he saw it and it was great. I was told Stephen comes on about 35 minutes into the program. But how long was he on for :hmm: It better be on You Tube tomorrow in case I miss it!

About 5 - 10 minutes, not long. It's a good thing your friend told you where he was in the program. Don't watch the beginning or your head might explode like mine did (see: earlier this thread).

Only Bono and Stephen Colbert could get me to watch Billo. The man has an ego the size of the world. All he does is talk about himself.

I especially enjoyed when he and hack right-wing journalist Bernard Goldberg were complaining about the "left-wing blogs," because I am regular reader and poster on two of them!

I also liked when Stephen mentioned how his show attracts a younger audience than Billo: "50, 60-year-olds."!

But I do feel guilty about watching O'Liely instead of my usual 8 pm show, Keith Olbermann's "Countdown."
