"Elevation" is the worst song U2 has ever written

U2 studio is better then U2 live

I never listen to U2 bootlegs

I havent listened to a U2 album in 5 months

"Scarlet" is U2's most profound and lyrically brilliant song ever

- i dont see all the hype of the Joshua tree

-WITS isn't as great as people make it out to be, i think its boring.

-October is a boring album

-Pop is a awesome album

-ATYCLB only has 5 good songs on it

-HTDAAB is great.

- THTBA is an awesome song, both versions
- Pop is awesome
- ATYCLB is awesome
- The Wanderer is awesome
- Sunday Bloody can lose its appeal when its played on every dam show

I love the 00s

I don't get the hype about TUF

The best song on October is October

Hawkmoon > Heartland

I like Angel of Harlem and Desire

I don't care about the setlists, i just want to hear them play

Got to agree with most of what you say.
Scarlet

1. Achtung Baby fucking sucks.
2. One fucking sucks.
3. Larry Mullen fucking sucks.
4. Passengers is U2's third or maybe even second best album.
5. The Refugee is a good song.
6. Where The Streets Have No Name is overplayed live.
7. ZooTV was U2's worst tour. Oh, and it fucking sucks.

Playboy Mansion is one of the best songs on POP (w/Mofo being the only one that is way better). PM would have been great live, too bad Bono's production idea for the song was to expensive.

do we know what bono's production idea was?

Thats ok, I dont want to be accused of being full of shit again. I'm sure it can be looked up if you're that interested.

1) Most of JT sounds the same to me as all the songs blend into each other. The few songs that do stand out aren't that good on the album.

2) "Pop" has a few decent tracks, but really isn't that good of an album. 10 years later, I'm not loving it.

3) I like UF a lot - even "Elvis Presley and America".

4) Bono's singing voice on the early albums, especially on NYD, was pretty bad.

5) Bono had a rich voice on JT/R&H, but he also used a lot of that "Kermit" or fake opera voice for notes he couldn't reach.

6) Edge actually makes quite a few mistakes in concert.

7) Prior to the Vertigo Tour, I thought Adam didn't really care about the fans when he played live.

8) Larry seems like a prick sometimes.

9) I hate that Edge wore a beanie at his own wedding!

10) I hate that, despite some weaknesses, so many fans here abhor ATYCLB and HTDAAB and prefer the far inferior "Pop".

The Monday Night Football version of "The Saints Are Coming" kicks all kinds of ass, five ways from Sunday.

--That I have never liked "Pride" live

--That Pop is the penultimate worst U2 album

--That Hawkmoon 269 IS better than most everything on R&H

--That Zooropa is better than Achtung Baby

--That Achtung Baby isn't even in my Top 5 U2 albums

--That Love Is Blindness is a boring-ass song with great lyrics, and was a horrible way to close ZOO TV (luckily Can't Help Falling In Love saved the night!)

--That HTDAAB really isn't that bad, but ATYCLB is really that bad

--That U2 have passed their prime, slipped over their peak, and are still a good band, but are not, and probably never will be, a great band again.

--That Edge FUCKING RUINED the one and only live version of The Wanderer with his ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, I WHY, WHY, WHY WANDER's

--Oh, and that I LOVE The Wanderer

--That all you people scare me a lot of the time (except Martha, JCOSTER, NightandDay66 and BonosBaby12 for the girls and LMP, LemonMelon, Xavi and LanceMC for the boys . . . they are all very nice. Oh, and Lila64 too!)

--That even though posters on here are mean and rude, I keep coming back for more.

what was it then?

Bono wanted inflatable clear huge lottery balls with a video image of him singing the song to flow through the audience while being played

from @u2.com in 2001 - answer guy

From: Pete

How come they never played "The Playboy Mansion" live, since that song is so cool?

Dear Pete:

Hugh M. Hefner, the publisher of Playboy Magazine invited U2 to the mansion for a frolic in the grotto, but the band declined his invitation. (The vote was 1 yes (Adam) and 3 nos). As the only four straight men in the world ever to say no to a trip to the Playboy Mansion, Mr. Hefner felt snubbed. He had his lawyer draw up a Cease and Desist order prohibiting the band from using the phrase "Playboy Mansion" on stage. The band has appealed, but the case is tied up in court. :hmm:
