Your Top Five Songs of ALL Time

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Yeah this is no way set in stone but these are 5 songs I have always loved and find hard to get tired of!

1. One - U2
2. The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonite - REM
3. High Hopes - Pink Floyd
4. China - Tori Amos
5. Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin

Way too tough, but here are the five most played tracks on my itunes at the moment:

Where The Streets Have No Name • U2

'07 Demos & Lanois narration • U2, Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno

It's Been a Long Time Coming • Sam Cooke

Master Blaster (Jammin') • Stevie Wonder

Here I Am Baby • Al Green

Interesting lists....I hope everyone is reading everyone else's and not just posting theirs....

The usual "this will change" disclaimer applies, but....

1: A Sort of Homecoming - U2
2: Find the River - REM
3: Shallow - Catherine Wheel
4: Dissident - Pearl Jam
5: All My Love - Led Zeppelin

I'll cop that one. Not ashamed at all. THE party song, or more, THE song to play at 2am when the night is winding up and fellowship is at a high.

Any Australian who doesn't know the words phails as an Aussie in my eyes. :grumpy:

To be fair, it's actually the one Chisel song that I can tolerate. In a unit on war poetry and lyrics in grade 11 English, we even studied it. It doesn't strike me as bogan like most Chisel songs do. *cough*he'sawoooorkingclassmaaaaan*cough*

Psh, you know only about 3 people are reading any but their own.

I said mine would change, so I'll do one now.

1. U2: One Tree Hill
2. Porcupine Tree: Stupid Dream
3. Crowded House: Recurring Dream
4. The Shadows: Wonderful Land
5. Joy Division: She's Lost Control

I don't know if I'll ever settle on anything beyond 1-2. In fact, even those are up for grabs. I've rediscovered Heartland in a big way lately, and Stupid Dream has always been battling songs like Lazarus, Fadeaway, Drown With Me, and the full version of Even Less.

This is hard. I guess I'm going to have to limit it to songs I've loved consistently for a long. long time, even if it means eliminating songs I've recently fallen in love with.

1. U2 - With or Without You
2. Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run
3. The Beatles - Let It Be
4. U2 - One
5. Aretha Franklin - Respect

Ok I am back with my list.

1. With Or Without You - U2
2. Unchained Melody - Righteous Brothers
3. Can't Help Falling In Love - Elvis Presley and U2, I love both versions
4. You're My Best friend - Queen
5. Perfect Day - Lou Reed

By all rights there should be a Beatles song on that list too, but since we can't choose 6 songs I decided to leave the Beatles song off, because it was too hard to choose my favorite one.
(There could have easily been more U2 there too...)

That was really difficult, don't ever make me do that again!

1. No Action - Elvis Costello & The Attractions
2. This Year's Girl - Elvis Costello & The Attractions
3. The Beat - Elvis Costello & The Attractions
4. Pump It Up - Elvis Costello & The Attractions
5. (tie) Little Triggers - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, You Belong to Me - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Hand In Hand - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, (I Don't Want to Go to) Chelsea - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Lip Service - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Living in Paradise - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Lipstick Vogue - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Night Rally - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Radio, Radio - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Big Tears - Elvis Costello & The Attractions, Running to the USA - Elvis Costello & The Attractions

Working Class Man is a Jimmy Barnes solo song, not Cold Chisel.

I've been thinking of this for over a day and I still haven't come up with anything but I'll give it a shot when I get home

Right now I'm in college :shifty:

Oh, is it? It's not as if there's much stylistically to distinguish Barnesy's solo work from Chisel's, and both are permanent fixtures of every bogan barbecue ever held.

Like a Hurricane--Neil Young
Down by the River--Neil Young
Visions of Johanna--Bob Dylan
Crossfire--Stevie Ray Vaughan

There is everything wrong with bogan barbecues.

Fuckin' bogans. Drunk bogans on Friday night trams are the worst.

Love ya for that...most beautiful song ever written.....

Bogan Barbecues get boring after you've been to 2 or 3....nothing happens (and the chicks either dumb phiistines, butt ugly, or already married)

and.... Lover Lover >>>>>>>>>>>Shiping Steel >>>>>>>>Working Class Man >>>>>>>> Khe Sanh
