your favorite albums released after 2000

mine are...

1.The Rising-Bruce Springsteen

brilliant songwriting, great e-street revival

2.Love and Theft-Bob Dylan

Great followup to time out of mind, dylans loosest recordings since possibly basement tapes

3.American Idiot-Green Day

Green Days strongest album in every way

Other than my obvious choices I really like:

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot -- Wilco
A Ghost Is Born -- Wilco
Wires -- Art Of Fighting
Second Storey -- Art Of Fighting
Storms Dressed As Stars -- Gersey
Save The Ones You Love -- Halogen
Stars At Noon -- Sea Ray

There are more but I don't feel like thinking too hard tonight....

Two of my absolute favourites haven't been mentioned yet: Porcupine Tree's In Absentia and the follow-up Deadwing. Both absolutely amazing. I didn't think Porcupine Tree were going to top In Absentia but I feel Deadwing does it.

Ian McCulloch the U2 fan:
"Who buys U2 records anyway? It's just music for plumbers and bricklayers. Bono, what a slob. You'd think with all that climbing about he does, he'd look real fit and that. But he's real fat, y'know. Reminds me of a soddin' mountain goat."
"And as for Bono, he needs a colostomy bag for his mouth."
