I live in tornado alley, and basically what everybody else said is good to do. If you have one, go to the basement. If not, a center room in the house like a bathroom is good too, because you have the protection of the bathtub and you should bring a blanket or pillow etc. to cover your head with, just incase the tornado rips the roof off.. Also if you have time, bring a portable radio or tv incase the power goes out, so you'll be able to know where the storm is and what exactly is happening outside. Stay away from windows of course, and don't be like the goofy people here who decide to go outside and look at them lol.

....I'm one of those people

I'm just so used to them, every summer it's just one tornado warning after the other. I love storms, and I tend to go outside and watch the wind whip things around and watch the lightning, but I've yet to ever see a funnel cloud with my own eyes. However, if I did, I can assure you I'd go hide someplace safe

I'm sorry that happened so close to you Numb

The weather this year is quite odd. I'm in New Brunswick Canada, which is on the east coast and a couple weeks ago there was a tornado that touched down in the central part of the province. Then they're speculating that another touched down last weekend..

I hope it doesn't keep going like this

I live in Tornado Alley. We always go to the basement when it's a tornado watch and turn on the radio for the latest news.
