Boys are generally icky when you're forced into close quarters with them for extended periods of time. It would certainly kill any romantic illusions one might have.

you know that is a good point too. the house was kinda junky...like, definitely college student style living. i could perhaps get more annoyed than turned on. but...omg he was wearing a bruce lee shirt!!

And often when your not with them for extended periods

It would probably help if you knew them a bit before deciding to live there. Unless you'd have an easy out if things weren't going smoothly.

Lookin' for love in all the wrong places...........

I dunno. In a prospective relationship sense, you're given time to get used to each other's quirks and bad habits. In a roommate situation, you're inundated with them all at once - I don't think anyone could keep up the level of politeness and discretion required to suck someone in romantically within a roommate situation for more than...say...maybe a day at best? lol

Gotta run to the store and then to my mom's. My reluctance to do so just proves how easy it would be for me to become a hermit and never leave the house.

Mia, honestly - your situation right now and finding a home for Bailey trumps any of the above. As VP said, you might find out so much about a person any attraction you have is deadened. I really don't think it would be a factor.

very true, Liz. very true. thanks for the advice all. i have a week to make my decision.
oh and Bailey did approve. plus he has a big yard to play in at this place, and even a little creek where he can splash around.

Just so you know....and I want you to know this....I hate North Carolina Basketball. Not as much as Duke, no, but, not all that far behind. It is religion down there, though.
