the dodgers have a great farm system but once they get to the majors their players tend to plataeu.

Don't worry about Lowell or Schilling, Matt Clement filed for free agency, the sox better resign him.

If the Dodgers had Joe Torre managing last year instead of Grady Little (seriously -- one of my buddies claims that Little botched between 5 and 10 games last year), had Jason Schmidt make 30 half-decent starts, and had James Loney in the lineup the entire season instead of The Artist Formerly Known As Nomar Garciaparra, the Dodgers would have been a playoff team.

i believe you're vastly over-rating joe torre's actual day to day managerial abilities. he's more of a good people person than a good stratigizer, in the same way that phil jackson is a bad x's and o's guy but is absolutely perfect for a team filled with ego's.

I believe you're vastly underrating Grady Little's ability to blow a game. The entire 2003 playoffs was a complete train wreck for him even if you leave out Game 7.

i know full well of little's lack of ability. i just don't think torre's baseball decision making is worth 10 games. besides his utter inability to grasp the concept of the productive out, torre is an absolutely horrid manager of the bullpen.

Sure, Torre's not 10 games better than Grady over a season, but 1-2 games + the other factors I mentioned could have made the difference last year.

Not a problem.

Some pitchers fall apart after dating Alyssa Milano (Pavano)
Some have good success after dating Alyssa Milano (Brad Penny, Barry Zito)
Some have historic post season success after dating Alyssa Milano (Beckett)

So the question that these facts bring to mind: Is there any pitcher who hasn't banged Alyssa Milano?
