I never thought about it but other than the lack of jewels or jems, the Stanley Cup really is the ultimate pimp cup...

ok my 2 cents..

When I was younger, I could of possibly be the #1 NHL fan of all time. Hockey was litterally my life, I played 4 hours a day for 6 days a week. I've had my pic taken of myself with the cup, and so on.

But ever since the lockup, the NHL has not only lost it's touch, it is mainly very boring now. and I mean REALLY boring. The NHL now has so many fricken rules now. hockey used to be such a somewhat dangerous sport, but now its like watching a play on ice. There is absolute no checking now and no fights. What ever happend to getting checked into the boards and mainly thinking after of how your gonna kill him into his own bench. Now it's like ooo im gonna make a fancy move between my fricken legs and i'll show him whos boss.

The officals won't let them fight and let them check em hard without a penalty. Really what is everyone on the NHL board trying to get out of this?

saddens me to tears

Maybe if Buffalo and Ottawa meet up in the playoffs you'll get lucky and have full-scale brawls

The New Jersey Devils ruined the NHL with their system of playing defence, so blame them. If any one deserves blame for the molasses-paced neutral zone play in hockey today it's the Devils.

Has anyone ever watched an entire Minnesota Wild game? No? Of course not, because you would die of boredom...

They shut down the neutral zone and play the trap... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Can you imagine a Devils vs. Wild final??? Insomnia cure on ice, people...

My thoughts (who cares though)

(1)Buffalo over (8)NYI in 5
(2)NJ over (7)TB in 6
(6)NYR over (3)ATL in 7
(5)Pitt over (4)OTT in 7 (this is a coin flip really)

(1)DET over (8)CGY in 5 (great goalie matchup though)
(2)Ducks over (7)Wild in 5
(3) Vancover over (6)Dallas in 6
(5) SJ over (4)Preds in 6

------------------
(1)Buffalo over (6)NYR in 5
(2)NJ over (5) Pitt in 7

(5)SJ over (1)Det in 7
(2)Ducks over (3)Vancover in 6
------------------------

(1)Buffalo over (2) NJ in 6

(5)SJ over (2)Ducks in 6 (Teemu gets called on a record 4 illegal sticks in the series leading to 4 PPG )
-----------------------------

(5)SJ over (1)Buffalo in 7

How could I not have my favorite team beating the home town team?

Not Nostradamus by any means, but def. a dash of wishful thinking!

San Jose to take it all? Yeah? Curious. I don't think I've seen anyone else predict that. Good luck!

Tonight's the night. I'm pulling for Pittsburgh tonight, though I want the Isles to take the East overall (Pitt being my 2nd team). And Vancouver in the West.
