What a great weekend. I hope everyone finds something to cheer about.

How is old Juan doing? I miss him. He actually overtook drivers.

Last week he caused a huge pileup in the first turn of the first lap.

That's our Juan (#42). Never boring...but often never around to see the checked flag.

So Alonso won Monaco ahead of Hamilton and Massa.

Alonso and Hamilton are tied for the championship lead with 38 points apice, 5 points ahead of Massa.

That's 5 straight podiums for Hamilton. Forget the facrt that he's a rookie, but has there ever been someone who has been on the podium in every race in a season? I know I may be jumping the gun a little here but it looks like he's capable of doing it!

McLaren are in an FIA investigation over the Monaco GP in which Hamilton was prevented from overtaking Alonso to win the race. It should have been Hamilton's win in my opinion. I think McLaren when they hired Hamilton didn't realise he would be so good and now they are doing some sort of damage control in having 2 top drivers.

Alonso is their number 1 driver and Hamilton is the young rookie and they probably need to keep it that way. The fall out of the investigation should be interesting and perhaps now that McLaren is going to be under the gun we'll see less team orders, which are prohibited in Formula 1.

Lewis Hamilton reportedly ranted and raved over the McLaren team radio after being told to hold station behind team-mate Fernando Alonso during Sunday's Monaco GP and only agreed to slow down after the personal intervention of Ron Dennis. The admission of the McLaren team principal that he had asked his drivers to 'cool it' has prompted the FIA to launch an investigation into their victory for a "possible breach of the International Sporting Code."

According to The Daily Mail, Hamilton 'vented his frustration' at being denied the opportunity to push for victory 'by ranting at his race engineer Phil Prew.'

'Dennis was forced to step in over the in-car radio and speak to his protege directly,' the newspaper claims. 'It was only then that rookie Hamilton, who made his views clear with several high-speed laps, finally relented and abided by his boss's demand that he should settle for second place.'

"Lewis was very angry. He turned the air blue when he was told to take it easy," a 'paddock insider' claimed.

Congratulations to Dario Franchitti, winner of the 91st Indianapolis 500 and the 2nd Scotsman to win. The other being the great Jim Clark. The race was as exciting and drama filled as the Monaco race was boring and predictable.

But that was last week, so bring on the USGP and F1 sans Schumi.

hopefully the majority of the cars make it through turn 1 this year.

I was at the 500, and am I am looking forward to seeing the fastest cars to race at the IMS in just over two weeks!

I did not realize this till today, but, I get to see the F1 cars at their fastest of any course they run!

I love a good driver story in F1, and Hamilton is it this year. I predict an incident and subsequent blowup with Alonso later in the season, and a move to rival Ferrari next year for Lewis :hyper:

I'm really looking forward to the Grand Prix du Canada at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in beautiful Montreal this weekend. Lot's of breaking but it's fast and there is a couple of passing spots. The outcome could be interesting with DNFs due to brake issues. Here's some headlines -

Toyota befuddled by Ralf`s form

LOL...ummmm.....'cause he sucks!

'McLaren drivers free to race'

Right. So there's not team orders and no number one driver. An F1 first!

Mika: 'I Warned Kimi Not To Join Ferrari'

Well it was damned if you do damned if you don't but it's strange though, 'cause Alonso got it right.

Canadian sell-out

This weekend's Canadian Grand Prix is a sell-out according to the race's press officer. Normand Prieur, the Montreal race's press officer, said in a statement: "Since 5:00 pm, the ticket office is no longer taking orders."

Last year over 330,000 spectators visited the Gilles Villeneuve circuit during the course of the race weekend.

Hamilton.

First time at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, first pole. This guy is the real deal

In other Montreal GP news, they had a pretty good U2 cover band playing Crescent St. to a couple thousand people. It was pretty pimp, especially when the skies opened up during Streets and then Bad

They play Crescent St. during Grand Prix week every year. Too bad I wasn't able to make it this time.

Wow, spectacular race. As pleased as I am for Hamilton, I'm much happier about Robert Kubica surviving his truly horrific accident.

Now, on to the greatest racecourse in the world.

Fantastic race, what a finish! Hammy is absolutely incredible and we are now seeing a legend in the making. Sato passing Alonso...love it! Massa and Fisi black flagged as well, it just doesn't get any better.

The fastest cars in racing on their fastest course! What could be better?

O.K. - maybe a little bigger crowd, like Montreal. But we truly get a treat here in the USGP seeing the cars at full speed!

I will be in turn four this year! Last year I sat right across from the garages.
