Would that be the same bay bridge, Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel that connects VA to the eastern shore and up into Maryland? Or is there another one?

Here's mine:

If it is that starts in Norfolk and costs $12 to go over it now. It's 21 miles long and has tunnels, bridges and land road. Have you been on it? It scares me, especially when the wind blows.

Well, I don’t know which places to choose, so I’ll put them all… It’ll take a few posts…

Here are a couple from places right around my house where I grew up. These are digital photos of actual pictures, so the quality lacks a bit…

Here are a couple finer spots in Silver Spring, MD, where I lived for a little over two years:
megan, former roommate, and I in this pic…

for megan:

Galway, Ireland, where I lived for about 5 months – not long, but it’s so wonderful that I had to include it:

I lived in London for a little over a year, but I would’ve stayed there for much longer if it hadn’t been for silly visas and job restrictions:

I don’t have any pictures of the lovely DC suburb where I currently live, so I’m just posting DC pics…close enough :
(Photos from the Washington Post site)

A somewhat skewed picture of my college…I figure I spent 4 years of my life here, so I should add it. I know it’s not very indicative of the location, but I think of pretty tress when I think of it, so…

I thought they probably were, there's so much water and she's miles from me, but when I did a google search for my bridge, her pic came up so I wanted to ask to know for sure

Parliament buildings at Stormont, Belfast:

Massive grounds (its like a little town) and you will find many civil servants working in the surrounding Castle buildings, sometimes news teams go here to talk to politicians, if your lucky you may spy your mug on tv.

Harland and Wolff (H&W) shipyard where the titanic was built. Every year there is a Titanic display at the City Hall. This is a picture of the shipyard, the 2 large yellow cranes are caled Samson and Goliath:

Queens University:

I have yet to find a picture that does the place justice, it is beautiful.

Most classes are not taught in this main building (Lanyon Building), the humanities subjects are all taught in these houses that you can see in the corner of this picture, this is where I go for all my French & Spanish classes, they are huge and very old.

Silent Valley - Mourne Mountains:

Giants Causeway:

Odyssey Arena -

Belfast at night: you can see the city hall, town, h&w and out into the docks:

I guess that the nearest 'major' city to me is Brisbane, which is about a 40min drive south away, however the Sunshine Coast has a combined population of about 300 000 people, so even though it is very spread out and has many little hinterland towns and beachside suburbs, I guess it is a city, here are some pics of various places that I have lived at on the Sunshine Coast......

Mooloolaba- one of the main tourist areas, the Mooloolaba 'strip' has heaps of really nice restaurants, night clubs, coffee shops and accomodation located rght across from the beach. This is my favourite place on the coast and where I generally end up at some stage over the weekend, either for dinner or a drink somewhere.

Looking at the boardwalk at Mooloolaba beach (across the road from the top picture)

Mooloolaba beach and how it looks most weekends!

and now I live at the 'Glass House Mountains', which is one of the southern hinterland towns of the Sunshine Coast. There are nine mountains and they are visible from most places on the Sunshine Coast and even from Brisbane. This pic is of 'Mt Tibrogargan', which is often called Gorilla Mountain.

My local train station (about a 5min walk from my house) with Mt Tibrogargan in the background.

Two more of the Glass House Mountains- the biger one is Mt Beerwah and the skinny one is Mt Coonowrin or 'Crookneck'.

I also forgot to mention that nearly everyday I pass this place

Steve Irwin's 'Australia Zoo is located about a 5min drive from my home and funnily enough I have never been to the zoo, I guess I am just paranoid of snakes

and then when I am driving to go and teach, I pass this famous Sunshine Coast landmark, famously called 'The Big Pineapple'. The Sunshine Coast grows loads of pineapples...

and then on the main highway travelling north is this 'australiana' pub, its a bit of an attraction!

these are some of the fun-filled toursit things to do on the coast....

Some amazing pics everyone! And Cass - yeah, guess you could say I miss Vancouver, but I really am enjoying things in India (hanging with "U2 addict" from Bombay as I type!). Vancouver is a special place...glad your friends had a great time. Here's a couple more intersting pics of the city:

Oh, and here's one of Canada's biggest universities, UBC, about 15 minutes from downtown....not a bad location!

It does hey. Some reckon our sky literally is a different blue to the rest of the world due to either the ocean or the desert or something. Our sky is such an Interf blue. Azure

That Ettamogah pub is so famous Oz

I think the sky looks different in the western U.S. than in the east. I will post pics of my city when I can find some from a good view. I can't find any online that show it's 'best side.'
