By the power of Christ I compel thee to go out and buy the Rockaby Baby Radiohead album.

It's now my 4th favorite Radiohead album.

What an extraordinary piece of packaging. Make Yer Own CD style. Don't understand the motivation behind it, though I guess it might be to offer the customer an album without the symbols of capitalism (ie. if you get yer own jewel case and use the provided materials, you won't have a barcode anywhere on the packagaing)

Oh, Radiohead you are so delightfully rebellious and left-field....you must be the bestest band in the world!

I figured they were thinking that just about everyone has a spare jewel case so why put more out there. I just threw out the contents of some crappy Hastings Christmas mix someone gave me as a joke and voila, an empty jewel case. I haven't put it together yet, though. Not sure if I will but they sure hold up better than the digipaks. I ripped my Springsteen "Magic" digipak the very first time I tried to get the friggin' CD out of it.

What?

The only problem is that it doesn't fit in slim jewel packs. At least if you like being able to close the damn thing.

I agree with the digipack hatred, all of those cardboard cases are annoying...

While I applaud the "environmental" angle of less plastic, I'm not happy with the amount of wear on the cases and the CD itself...

I can't say I'm very impressed with the sticker idea very much though, the concept of the CD Jewel Case is to protect the liner notes and such from getting messed up. Putting stickers on the outside of a Jewel Case seems kinda silly to me...

Bangers & Mash should've been on the album.

^ Disagree on that

Imo that song would ruin the consistency and flow of the album no matter where it was put...

Plus I think it kinda sucks

IR is perfect the way it is

Yeah. The thought of a return to rock for Radiohead, even if for just one song, sure does suck.

Yeah, the more I listen to the real album, the more I realize how the bonus songs barely fit.

Maybe Down Is the New Up before Reckoner, but that's about it.
