Many of my very favorite SC songs come from Zooropa. Lemon and Stay in particular are at the very least top 5.

I dig em just because I think they go along pretty well with the theme of the song. The guitar tone in the chorus is also ballin'. Underrated song.

Another thought occurred to me while listening to Cockropa: it'd be awesome for "Lancemom" to make an appearance this tour, but it's doubtful Boner can even sing it anymore.

They'll never play that one again, purely for that reason. Bono had a below-average falsetto even in his prime, and now it just sounds like shit.

If somebody forced me at gunpoint to pinpoint just one particular favorite line or verse in Nick Cave's "More News From Nowhere," they'd have to pull the trigger.

You'll see "Stand Up Comedy" before "Lemon" makes a re-appearance. I don't want to live in the world where this happens.

The fact that they haven't played "Stand Up Referee" is a big outlier in the whole "Shuttlecock are poor judges of their own material" hypothesis.

Good choice, Boner and Co.

Yeah, agreed. The notes he hit on the live versions of Can't Help Falling In Love on ZooTV? Holy cannoli, that's some good falsetto right there.

Well, I mean in terms of execution. He had potential, but he didn't really use it well, and he used it much too often during that era. Listen to the studio version of Dirty Day ... it's not good. He did better with it live, but then again that whole song was better live.

Did anyone check out the Unforgivable Liar reissue info? Apparently Cock Awake in America IS going to be on the bonus disc, and the DVD will include the Have AIDS performance as well.

Nice to see them get it right once in a while, but twice in one week (SNL)? Wow.

NSW lives.

NSW is in Nevada.

NSW is tired.

NSW saw Yellowstone yesterday and the place is unreal.

NSW has listened to all 14 Beatles Remasters 2x now.

NSW thinks that Paul can play the bass.

NSW is 100 feet from a casino but will not play blackjack.

NSW is bummed that his Steelers are 1-2.

NSW is happy the Giants handed the Bucs their asses, though.

NSW is thanking Martha for her travel advice.

NSW cannot wait for the UF Remaster.

NSW is tired of fast food.

NSW has been in his head for a long time:

Yesterday, I got pulled over in Wyoming at 7:30am for doing 90 in a 75 mph zone. The trooper asked me to come with him to sit in the front seat of his car while he filled out some paperwork. I was a tad nervous, but not overly so. He was really nice, and was asking me questions to keep me from being too nervous. He eventually let me off with just a warning. But, want to know what was running through my head not long after sitting down in a cop car for the first time in my life? This: I wanted to ask him if he had ever worked with "Deputy Impy". Sigh.

Also, I spent an hour straight, at some point in Montana, saying "Bon Jour" out loud to each car that passed me in the opposite direction.

Additionally, I decided that I want to produce a "Behind the Music" based on interference. I'll definitely use "Fire" as a bump to break, with the vo maybe being "The Lance's mom jokes had started....but were they really jokes?".

I've driven 2,600 miles so far. I've also killed 2,600 bugs. I'm the I Am Legend for the insect community.

I look forward to arriving in the Bay Area tomorrow. I want to be out of my car for a bit, and I really want to see my girlfriend.

That's awesome to hear, man. Someone should tell Bono about this.

Just got back from seeing Frightened Rabbit and these two other Scottish bands (We Were Promised Jet Packs and The Twilight Sad). Rabbits and Jet Packs were fucking off the chain, and the Sad lived up to their band name...

Behind the Music: Interference sounds like all sorts of awesome.

I wonder if that cop is one of the people that LastEdgeonEarth knew. HE KNOWS PEOPLE.

They finally agreed to meet one September evening in Chicago, Illinois ... but would they leave as friends ... or enemies?

Avett Brothers >>>>>>>>>>>> my trip.

But thanks, YLB. Sounds like you had a good night.....

Are The Avett Brothers really that awesome or do they just look like insane mountainmen?

I can't hear, but it was worth it.

Honestly, 3 hours would not be enough for that episode of Behind the Music.

"And a click (sic) was formed.....but would they soon break up?"

We went to the bridge where the troll lived, but it declined an interview.

About time. They're addicting.

NSW thinks that Paul can play the bass.

Well that goes without saying. But he also enjoys granny music and chomping on abnormally large phallic objects. You gotta take the good with the bad.

NSW is 100 feet from a casino but will not play blackjack.

Boo.

In the words of Jeff Goldblum, I like it.

Someone should tell Bono about this.

YES. It begins.

I really wanted to head to that show last week. Glad you enjoyed it. The Rabs kick all sorts of ass.

I'm streaming the Where the Wild Things Are soundtrack right now and diggin it.

Glad someone else is finally listening to it. I've been going a little overboard on it, but still in love.

I bought the We Were Promised Jet Packs album if you'd like me to hook you up with that.

Part of me wants to dig into the soundtrack, and the more sensible side wants to avoid it and most other Wild Things-related things until I see it. Some friends are thinking of going midnight Thursday, which I may have to take part in.
